Overview

Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud and AI capabilities at scale. Our mission is to deliver the world's computer with an industry-leading supply chain. The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is supported by more than 300 datacenters around the world that enable services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the datacenters. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable, on-time performance and optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytical tools (MRP, Excel, Tableau, Power Point, SQL, Access, Power BI, etc.).

Microsoft Cloud Background Check

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 5+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 4+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years' supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environment.
  • Lean-6 sigma black/green belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), Kaizen, Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)/CSCP certification, or relevant project and process experience preferred.
  • 5+ years' supplier management experience in an Electronics, or high-volume supply chain and or applicable Manufacturing / Hardware production environment.

Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Current Experience in IT / high-tech electronics or Manufacturing / Service supply chain
  • Proficient communication, problem solving skills - ability to manage competing priorities, set clear expectations, collaborate, identify objectives, develop and deliver feedback in written, oral, and presentation formats for partner teams, and senior executive management
  • Dedicated Project Management skills involving multiple global System Integrators and Internal partners. High comfort with handling multiple ongoing priorities and escalations. Strong customer-focus and attention to detail
  • Capable of performing complex data analysis to identify problems or opportunities to improve supply chain performance
  • Skilled in Customer Relationship building, and Cross-functional collaboration opportunities
  • Strong skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies (ability to hold people accountable, and drive closure)
  • Ability to work well in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes
  • Support organization‐wide projects to improve delivery, reliability, and agility; leveraging others effectively to support internal business team goals
  • Ability to travel up to 15-25%, including internationally
