As part of Microsoft’s Commercial Executive Sales Team, you will help education institutions reimagine what’s possible through digital transformation. You’ll work with a passionate, mission-driven team that partners with schools, education systems, and stakeholders to deliver solutions that drive student success, operational excellence, and institutional resilience.

As a Microsoft Education Commercial Executive, based in Sydney, Australia, you will lead the commercial strategy and execution for your assigned education customers across Australia, New Zealand, Asia Pacific, China and India, with a focus on the Kindergarten to Year 12 sector. You will collaborate closely with account teams, licensing specialists, and technical sellers to craft and negotiate deals that align with customer goals and Microsoft’s strategic priorities. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of sales and negotiation experience including experience as a Commercial Executive with a strong understanding of Microsoft’s Education Contracting models.
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in Business, IT, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education or related field AND 5+ years experience in sales and negotiation experience or related work experiences.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven ability to articulate and apply these capabilities to address the unique challenges faced by Education K-12 (Kindergarten to Year 12), Public Sector and Nonprofit organisation through partner-led engagements.
  • 9+ years of sales and negotiation experience.
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 7+ years of relevant experiences.
    • OR Master’s Degree AND 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Ideally with basic business proficiency in additional languages like Korean, Japanese, Mandarin.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth and ensure compliance through the sales process across education accounts.
  • Understand the unique needs of education customers and tailor commercial solutions to support long-term success.
  • Lead internal and external sales motions through commercial constructs and deal-making, optimising investment and customisation.
  • Identify and maximise business opportunities with new offerings like Microsoft Copilot, ensuring successful execution.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Finance stakeholders to define negotiation strategies and align on pricing, terms, and conditions.
  • Act as the lead negotiator, preparing compelling proposals, articulating value, and addressing customer concerns.
  • Build trusted relationships with key stakeholders across education institutions, partners, and internal teams to support customer outcomes and Microsoft’s revenue goals.
