As a Custom Consulting Sales Executive in our Custom Consulting Team, you will step into a role where you lead, orchestrate and drive customer value by being at the heart of custom deal making in a sales capacity. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • 8+ years industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Finance, Local Government)
    • OR Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years industry sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Finance, Local Government) or related work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years consulting solution sales experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 6+ years industry solution or consulting sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Financial Services, Local Government) or related work
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Information Technology (IT), or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology sales experience in the commercial or public sector (e.g. Finance, Local Government) or related work
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years consulting solution sales experience.
  • Experience in solution-based selling across one or more of the cloud solution areas (CSAs). Able to effectively position cross-CSA offerings and align customer needs with our portfolio.
  • Skilled at selling into commercial or public sector accounts, with an understanding of industry trends and challenges. Demonstrated ability to tailor solutions to industry-specific needs and significantly contribute to account planning.
  • Past experience interacting with executive stakeholders, with growing confidence in navigating C-level relationships. Capable of driving executive meetings and articulating the value proposition of our solutions.
  • Exposure to consulting or solution architecture practices. Able to collaborate effectively with technical and consulting teams to develop and propose customer solutions.
  • Driven sales cycle process for digital transformation initiatives. Proven ability to drive value conversations and position solutions aligned with transformation goals.

Consulting Account Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will lead and orchestrate customer value through complex deal making, tackle our customers major business challenges, and accelerate your career growth by leveraging cutting-edge solutions to drive our most transformational projects. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with local leaders and their sales teams, establishing partnerships and driving a consistent Cross-CSA (cloud solution area) approach aligned to company strategy and applying a regional approach to meet customer needs. Stakeholder engagement with strategic partnership teams (SPT) and Area MCAPS Sales teams.
  • Bringing impactful technology and industry insights into customer engagements and closes deals with customers, and coaches and influences others internally on how to do this. Leverage deep sales & delivery experience to drive a consultative sale and build trust with C level executives.
  • Influencing Microsoft's strategic direction across various markets. Leading a virtual cross-organizational team on strategic projects and high impact solution sales deployments that enable digital transformation and deliver business value. Leveraging CSA assets and consulting IP (functions and industry) to deliver customer transformation.
  • Actively participating in the sales planning, orchestration and deal closure leveraging Microsoft’s sales methodology. Shaping and selling custom consulting solutions with technical acumen that maximize Microsoft investments.
  • Providing deal coaching and shaping by encouraging cross area learning and insights within the solution area to the value of both our customers and wider Microsoft teams. Working seamlessly with the wider account team, building and strengthening relationships across the Microsoft teams to drive consumption; putting AI at the forefront of everything we do.
  • Continuously building sales expertise, learning and evolving Transformative solutions knowledge to support customers and the wider one Microsoft team and investing in personal development.
