The Global Customer Success (GCS) organization, an organization within CE&S, is leading the effort to enable customer success on the Microsoft Cloud by harnessing leading, AI-powered capabilities and human expertise to deliver innovative solutions that accelerate business value, drive operational excellence and nurture long term loyalty. One of the key mechanisms in which Microsoft activates the incredible talent of its technical teams for customer success is through Microsoft Unified. Unified enables a proactive approach with customers that results in accelerated value creation and sustained growth for the Microsoft Cloud. It serves as a growth engine for the company by getting hands-on with customers to understand their priorities and help drive adoption and optimization at speed.

Unified has four main product service lines – Enterprise, Partner, Value Acceleration Services and Mission Critical Services. As the product lead for one of these product service lines, you will work as the “CEO” for your product line responsible for achieving the business outcomes for this business including topline and bottom-line business results attainment.

As part of the Unified Solutions Group leadership team, we are looking for an experienced Senior Director, Unified Market Development to help activate our worldwide growth strategy. This role will provide leadership, insight, and direction across a diverse team of product marketers as well as influence teams across the company to create momentum for this incredible business and move the Microsoft strategy forward.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Leader with experience in the professional services, support, or customer success business areas. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for Unified that drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in marketing strategy & management, excellent communication, and the ability to lead a team of marketing professionals.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 10+ in leading business strategy and/or product strategy teams
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Experience developing and executing marketing strategies support, success or professional services context.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 12+ in leading business strategy and/or product strategy teams
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 8+ years of people management experience
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing senior teams.
  • Effective leadership skills with experience managing experienced teams.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.

Product Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.

Responsibilities

This leader will be responsible for accelerating business outcomes across the four Unified product service lines. Overall objectives and shared metrics include revenue growth, revenue recapture (per customer), customer retention, and new customer acquisition. Specific accountabilities for this role drive ROI for all marketing resources and investments; this includes metrics such as lead generation, deal velocity, digital marketing impact, offer sold mix and life-time customer value.

  • Opportunity Insights: Identify and map key customers and segments to specific offers driving engagement and sales. Utilize data-driven insights to refine targeting strategies and link these to our sales motions to accelerate demand.
  • Building and Maintaining Sales Assets: Create and maintain a suite of sales assets, including presentations, case studies, and product collateral, to support the sales teams to position Unified a value-led conversation.
  • Supporting Sales Communities: Provide marketing support to sales teams by addressing and resolving complex customer issues and escalations. Adapt strategies based on feedback from our sales teams.
  • Leading Unified Digital Marketing: Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media, email marketing, and online advertising campaigns, to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Analyst Relations: Manage relationships with industry analysts to ensure positive coverage and positioning of our products and services.
  • Supporting Top 50 Deals (Business Development Assistance): Collaborate with the sales team to support the top 35 deals, providing marketing insights and assistance to drive deal growth and closure.
    • Top Deal Shaping – help shape solutions for marque deals for the business each fiscal supporting sales team helping maximize portfolio impact
    • Manage Complex Deals – Help teams use existing offers in our most critical accounts and enable custom elements when required
    • Insights Feedback Loop – Use Top Deal engagement to shape the Unified marketing strategy and story to advance the business narrative. Feed these learnings back into Product Management.
