As The Coalition’s Live Product Manager you will be responsible for the full life cycle of acquisition, engagement, retention and monetization of Gears of War games post-launch. You should have a deep understanding of live service games and be a passionate gamer. You will have experience at conceiving post-launch release strategy and bringing those releases to market. After release you will lead the insight and review of release performance, leading a cross-disciplinary team to meet the key performance indicators.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6 months+ experience working on a video game in a live service environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in live service management and/or experience in delivering marketing programs from concept to delivery

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate requirements to ensure metrics for the service will be hit, utlising a hypothesis and data driven approach.
  • Distill franchise vision and goals and be able to drive them into the live release roadmap.
  • Prioritize the backlog and ensure seasonal content, partner events, and other live events form a cohesive player experience.
  • Partner with creative teams to create features requirements and content plans that meet the goals of the service through the product cycle.
  • Partner with technology teams to ensure that toolsets, pipelines, and live service tuning capability is optimized for flexibility and ability to respond to player needs.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of retention, re-engagement, and monetization. Set clear metrics for each phase.
  • Analyze the impact of releases and provide cost-benefit analysis that generates new hypotheses.
  • Analyze in-game economy trends using data insights and strong business acumen to impact top-line KPIs.
  • Represent the voice of the player and partner needs within the live service.
  • Work with the game team to drive best-practice strategies in creating and optimizing economy models for virtual economies.
  • Form effective relationships with Marketing, Brand and PR to ensure that each release has a clear purpose, clear messaging, and value proposition to the player.
  • Develop game health review cycles to continually improve the product.
  • Work with the team to ensure that all live releases are of high quality.
  • Work with Live Ops team to ensure quality of service excellence is upheld and appropriate responses are in place for service issues.
  • Track and develop an expert-level understanding of gaming trends and insights.
  • Provide craft mentorship to design teams and others to develop expertise in games as a service space
