Overview
The Business Analyst Specialist will own end-to-end analytics, providing insights that cover the entire spectrum of a publisher's journey. This includes understanding the value of onboarding new publishers onto the network, monitoring publisher performance to ensure quality growth, and working closely with sales and publisher teams to identify and drive meaningful growth opportunities. The role will partner closely with the Global Search and Chat Ads Partnership team and will be strategically positioned to drive impact at scale, balancing the needs of users, advertisers, and supply partners. The Business Analytics Specialist will collaborate across a series of initiatives with Marketing, Product, Partner Sales, Advertising Business Team, and Engineering teams. This role requires a unique combination of technical, analytical, and partner management skills to drive value and impact for our business and that of our supply partners.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 3+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., experience with SQL and Power BI).
- Experience working with external partners (i.e. understand partner businesses, work collaboratively for solutions, anticipate needs, exceed customer expectations, resolve issues through products and services).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 8+ years’ experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of Search Advertising and key business concepts.

Business Analytics IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities
- Drive data-driven insights into third-party strategy and enable publishers to grow and scale on the network to support first-party goals.
- Use data-exploration techniques to identify new opportunities and address existing performance issues.
- Assist with new business and expansion deal modeling by providing insights into demand strength, quality features, impact, and composition changes, in collaboration with Supply Management, Business Development, Finance, Marketplace, Engineering, and Network Quality Operations.
- Build partner business insights and reporting, including understanding the current operating point of the business, comparing third-party supply fluctuations to the rest of the network, and analyzing how seasonality, device mix, geo mix, and emerging trends help identify and understand partner issues.
- Revenue forecasting – Partner with the business team to provide key drivers that influence the forecast and outlook.
- Leverage data and insights to support ongoing discussions with partners.
- Conduct other analyses – Understand network composition, second-order impacts on the network, and key feature adoption.
- Track advertiser return on investment (ROI) and champion strategies that help increase syndication adoption on the network.
- Lead quarterly business reviews with key publishers to explain marketplace drivers and collaborate on growth opportunities.
- Prototype analytic improvements and insightful reports to better understand the business and its impact on monetization.
- Develop solutions to address daily analytic needs, helping to set up dials, levers, and manage the business.
- Lead ad hoc, proactive investigations and projects on topics such as performance fluctuation drivers, supply/demand concentration, flight impacts, and more.
- Lead reactive, partner-facing, metric-driven investigations and present findings and recommendations to partners.
