Overview

At Microsoft’s Operations Service Center we have a passion for customers, partners, and technology. The Search, Ads & News Consumer Operations team sits within Microsoft Business Operations (MBO) and is responsible for the run operations globally for Search, Ads & News together with the launch of new products to market.

We are hiring a Group Manager, Search Ads & News Operations which is a global role responsible for leading a high performing team accountable for all run operations globally and dedicated to optimizing and scaling the processes and policies that underpin how we support the search, ads & news order to cash processes. This is a people manager role where you will lead a team of highly skilled individuals.

You will be joining a fast-paced team that is focused on results, works together to solve problems, and is committed to developing people. This role will collaborate with CELA, launch teams, process leaders, and other key business partners across finance, compliance, and engineering to deliver best in class execution excellence through robust, compliant processes.

The candidate is comfortable influencing in a highly matrixed, multinational organization, exhibits outstanding planning, communication, judgement, and negotiation skills, uses data and analytics to drive performance insights and improvements, and has a customer obsession and compliance focus. This candidate should demonstrate strategic thinking resulting in forward-looking solutions to business opportunities and has a capacity for leading change to successful execution. They will be working in a fast-paced environment where they will need to move with speed & agility, make decisions fast and empower their direct reports.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.
  • 5+ years experience in process design and execution.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 10+ years experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years program management experience, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Master’s Degree or MBA
  • Demonstrated change & project management skills.
  • Experience working with display, video and search advertising/Bing Ads;
  • Demonstrated excellence in thought leadership, innovation, and execution management; ability to influence without authority.
  • Familiarity with advertising programs and policies.
  • Familiarity with advertising go to markets.
  • Broad working knowledge of Microsoft including business groups, segment and support functions including multiple channels and business groups.

Business Program Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
