Overview
Xbox Studios Quality is looking for a Product Manager 2 who approaches all work with a growth mindset, customer obsession and relentless curiosity to learn.
In this role, you will partner with Quality, Data, and Software Engineering to deliver customer’s value driven solutions. You will use Studio Quality’s unique position to determine the tooling, services, and technology that need to be built, leveraged, or discarded to meet business objectives and customer needs.
We are a high-performing team with big aspirations to drive customer value by enabling Game Studios to ship the highest quality gaming experiences that players will love. This position requires cross-team collaboration, the ability to influence others, technical expertise, solid communication skills, and a proactive approach to building solutions in a complex environment.
As a member of Xbox Studios Quality, you will also be a part of a larger community of Quality Analysts, Engineers, Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to think, understand, and process information quickly
- The ability to apply ingenuity, inventiveness, and imagination to the inclusive design and construction of a product, service, program, or initiative.
- The ability to compare, contrast, and analyze data, people, situations, etc., to formulate a valid conclusion.
- The skill to engage in customer research activities, actively understanding their history, needs, technologies, and priorities. This includes the ability to synthesize research findings to inform future product or sales pitches and targets.
- The ability to garner support for initiatives by gaining the respect of others and inspiring trust and confidence. Influencing without authority.
- Ability to quickly understand technical and programmatic concepts, flows, and design.
- Ability to identify technical needs and gaps and clearly articulate and prioritize to stakeholders.
- Craft specs, work with engineering, and drive for results that align with organizational priorities.
- Comfortable leading cross-functional v-teams to desired outcomes.
- Solid written and verbal skills.
- Experience working with software quality teams.
- Gaming experience is preferred.
Product Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead Title Engagements workstream with our customers (Quality Team)
- Partner with the customers to define the “what-why” and with Engineering and other domain experts to come up with the “how-when”. Document the agreed-to plan and provide oversights on the execution of these plans.
- Groom feature backlog on Azure DevOps (ADO)
- While owning the Title Engagements, identify improvement opportunities to drive efficiency and productivity for our team.
- Partner with Quality, Data, and Software Engineering, and other domain owners to holistically collate requirements and develop specification to drive feature development.
- Engage with feature teams, including the planning and execution of a modern and innovative game quality strategy.
- Leverage experience to increase team efficiency and to influence our culture of quality with process and technological improvements.
- Identify innovative solutions that will eliminate unnecessary quality cost to engineering.
