We’re looking for an ambitious Communications Manager (PR) to drive stories that showcase the importance, impact and breadth of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem. In this role, you’ll manage the communication and public relations activities in support of our partner announcements, partner programs, partner events, and key moments. Your work will target a range of influencers in tech, business and channel publications.
This role offers a unique opportunity to help shape the narrative around Microsoft’s partner ecosystem, from Independent Software Vendors to Cloud Services Providers and System Integrators. We are looking for a creative, collaborative and energetic team member who wants to work on this exciting area of the business. Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism Marketing, Communications or related field AND 2+ years public relations, journalism, communications or marketing or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Excellent communications, writing, and project management skills.
- Experience in storytelling, technology PR, agency management, and media relations.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Relations, Journalism Marketing, Communications or related field AND 4+ years public relations, journalism, communications or marketing or related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience in cross-group collaboration, is a self-starter, and has a confident presence with executives and partners.
- Ability to successfully navigate a multi-faceted stakeholder and business partner landscape and develop tight collaboration across other communications teams both inside and outside the company.
- Ability to be nimble, flexible and adaptable to changing partner and stakeholder dynamics.
Communications IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.

Responsibilities
- Lead and contribute to storytelling efforts in both earned and owned media that highlight Microsoft’s partner ecosystem.
- Work with Microsoft partners on announcements for new partnerships, strategic deals and new initiatives.
- Drive communications programs for top-tier partner events, such as Microsoft Inspire and our annual State of the Partner Ecosystem.
- Manage Microsoft’s Third-Party Partner Press Release program.
- Provide media relations support for Microsoft executives in press interviews.
- Be an integral part of the Cloud Communications team, collaborating across shared goals, projects and activities.
