Overview

The Global Partner Solutions (GPS) team is a sales organization accountable for the commercial partner business at Microsoft, and the mission is to build and sell Microsoft Cloud applications, services and devices with partners, empowering people and organizations to achieve more. GPS encompasses the following strategic partner channels: Distributors, Scale Partners, Hybrid Cloud Providers (HCP), and Telcos.

The Americas Global Partner Solutions (GPS) is focused on building the most profitable and impactful partner ecosystem in the world. We help our partners build innovative technical solutions, develop their technical skills & abilities, and successfully sell & deploy with our joint customers.

GPS is looking to hire a Senior Azure Partner Marketing Manager to develop, guide and communicate the Go To Market strategy to our valued Enterprise Services partners, as well as to our stakeholders across the business segment and Azure solution area.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years marketing, partner marketing, or product marketing experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of enterprise experience with any combination of the following: drive marketing and partner programs; business planning; product management; customer and market analysis; Go-to-Market strategy and execution; competitive market analysis and positioning; organize and drive product/program roadmaps; develop insights from market research; sales enablement and field support; build and execute marketing plans and strategies; or related.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and incorporating customer insights in the development and delivery of innovative Go-To-Market plans with partners and related experience with public cloud platforms and solutions.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Business Development, Business Management, Communications, or related field AND 6+ years marketing, partner marketing, or product marketing experience
    • Master's Degree in Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years sales, marketing, technology-based, or business development experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to clearly articulate solutions in a business and customer-centric manner
  • Ability to view a business holistically end-to-end across Marketing, Sales, and Partner.
  • Ability to influence without authority, collaborate effectively, and lead virtual teams.
  • Effective communication, presentation & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguous business situations, be open to ‘building the plane as we fly it’

Partner Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a comprehensive strategy and execution plan around Azure Partner Go To Market (GTM) programs/initiatives and Campaigns by identifying key objectives and priorities, defining initiatives and corresponding outcomes/Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that would drive the strategy.
  • Leverage existing forums and create new ones to both engage with partners, PDMs, Segment leaders, GTM Leaders, GPS leaders and Global Azure leads to understanding their motivations and blockers; and incorporate learnings in the plan.
  • Partner with GPS to define our partner GTM plan to grow our partner ecosystem by recommending the best Azure providers in the industry.
  • Build an effective partnership with Americas and WorldWide stakeholder teams (especially our GPS teams) for both developing the strategy and executing on it.
  • Create awareness and clarity with our Field sellers on how to best leverage partners and co-sell to scale their impact.
  • Partner with our Americas team members to influence and advocate to the WW team for investments and initiatives that move the needle for our Azure business.
