Microsoft Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Team is growing fast and looking for a Senior Software Engineer, who is committed to provide best in class data protection for Microsoft customers. Our team fosters an agile development environment, continuously gathering and analyzing data to combat evolving threats. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in the software engineering industry with solid problem-solving skills, specifically with coding and validation in C/C++ or similar
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:
- This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Passion for working with customers and advocating for their requirements to be met by features
- 3+ years of of security and endpoint protection experience
- Experience with Windows operating systems internals and concepts
- Solid communication and cross group collaboration skills.
- Solid CS fundamentals, problem solving and debugging skills .
Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
