Overview

The Infrastructure and Developer Platform (IDP) team within the Microsoft Threat Protection (MTP) organization builds and maintains the infrastructure and developer platform that almost all Defender products (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, etc.) rely on. This platform allows engineers across MTP to more easily deploy their services, lowers costs, and increases security and reliability across our fleet.

Qualifications

Qualifications RequiredRequired/Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ year's experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English Required)
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work across-geo, working with partner teams in the United States, Israel and India.
  • Passion for engaging with the developer community and advocating for their needs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic programming experience and proficiency in C#, .Net and KQL (You must feel comfortable writing code).

Qualifications: Other Requirements

  • Experience with Container Based Development, including Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience using Azure DevOps for tracking planning and execution

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for driving the adoption and success of our developer platform by engaging with the engineering community across the Threat Protection organization, advocating for their needs, and ensuring our platform meets their requirements.

  • Engage with the developer across the organization to understand their needs and advocate for features and improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the development and adoption of the developer productivity platform.
  • Create and deliver technical content, including documentation, tutorials, and presentations, to help developers succeed with our platform.
  • Provide feedback to the engineering team to improve the platform based on developer input.
  • Organize and participate in developer events, such as hackathons, meetups, and conferences.
  • Monitor and analyze platform usage and developer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
