People Skills team under EXP Foundations & People Intelligence team, was established with mission of harnessing endless possibilities of future AI powered people intelligence scenarios across M365 and Copilot.

The People Skills team is looking to hire a Senior Software Engineer to work in People Skills Services and APIs through the exciting journey of skills-based experiences across M365 Copilot. The scope of work would be to build and maintain a scalable, highly available skills service across the M365 ecosystem. Following the operational and engineering excellence best practices. In this role you will be responsible for the architecting and implementation of experiences from incubations stage to maturity with customer trust and user delight.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Experience with leading large-scale projects that involves 5-8 team members and have worked cross-teams.

Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, OR Python
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • OR equivalent experience.
• Demonstrated experience in design, coding, rapid prototyping, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Demonstrated ability to work on cross-platform code.
• Demonstrated experience communicating, collaborating and navigating ambiguity in a cross-group environment.
• Demonstrated experience driving quality experience for customers.
• 10+ years’ experience architecting and developing robust and extensible solutions at enterprise scale.
• 10+ years’ experience working with distributed systems/Microservices architectures.

• Define, design, and deliver experiences from incubations stage to maturity with customer trust and user delight.
• Be a role model for engineers in your team.
• Create clarity and take ownership of architecture decisions working with partners and customers.
• Develop and release new modules and horizontal features for the Product Suite.
• Work with our product and design team to implement intuitive and engaging user experiences.
• Define and build systems and strategies to ensure quality, performance, simplicity, durability, scalability, and maintainability.
