The Business Program Manager (BPM) role in the Employee Experience Success organization under MSD is responsible for enabling user experiences by collaborating with Corporate and Field stakeholders, partnering with Engineering and Business teams throughout the software development lifecycle to influence program design, deployment, and adoption of Global Solutions and Microsoft Products.

This includes identifying, assessing and prioritizing business, processes and design requirements, then driving effective product deployment and adoption activities such as: regional planning, effective change management, readiness, piloting, user acceptance testing (UAT), post implementation management of success metrics and future change requests and escalations.

This role also plays a critical part in driving the successful internal deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement of Microsoft’s global solutions as part of the Customer Zero strategy. Ensuring that Microsoft is the first and best user of its own technology, validating and optimizing solutions before they launch to the market, providing valuable feedback to engineering teams, and accelerating customer readiness.

This role requires good understanding of AI trends and technologies, ensuring that AI-driven solutions align with business needs and deliver maximum impact.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement Operations, Finance or related field AND 4+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in business program management and solution deployment in a global environment.
  • Solid Change Management Experience.
  • Proven ability to influence engineering and business teams to align technological solutions with business needs.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, solid interpersonal skills.
  • Have the ability to support work across multiple time zones.
  • Proven self-starter with a track record of successful delivery as an individual contributor.
  • Ability to influence and communicate at senior levels.
  • Effective cross-group collaboration skills.
  • Compelling stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across corporate, engineering, and field teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PROSCI Certification.
  • Solid knowledge of AI trends and emerging technologies, with experience in deploying AI-driven solutions preferred.
  • Preferred hands-on experience with Lean Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization.

Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Program Management: Identify, assess, and prioritize business needs, processes, and requirements, collaborating with Engineering to influence design and delivery.
  • Deployment & Change Management: Develop and execute change management (following the ADKAR methodology), readiness, and adoption strategies, including Pilots, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), training, and ongoing support.
  • Customer Zero Leadership: Drive the internal deployment of Microsoft’s solutions, providing insights on user experience, adoption challenges, and operational impact before public release.
  • AI: Stay at the forefront of AI/ML trends and technology, ensuring solutions are effectively designed and adopted across business functions.
  • Field & Business Advocacy: Serve as the single point of contact between Field teams, Corporate stakeholders, and Engineering, advocating for business needs and ensuring solutions meet user expectations.
  • Success Measurement & Future Enhancements: Define and track success metrics, manage escalations, and drive continuous improvements through feedback loops and change requests.
  • Lean Six Sigma & Continuous Improvement: Leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies to optimize processes, drive efficiencies, and ensure data-driven decision-making for solution adoption.
