We are seeking to fill a role to help develop programs and drive several workstreams on behalf of the MSR Chief Operating Officer (COO) and leadership team. As a Director, Business Program Management in Microsoft Research, you will have a pivotal role focused on building comprehensive internal communications plans, engaging with leadership and employees to implement programmatic internal engagement, and manage special projects on behalf of the COO. This role is essential for driving strategic initiatives and ensuring effective communication across the organization.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field AND 8+ years work experience in business program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • 10+ years in business program management, preferably within a research or technology environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and executing communications plans.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Business Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
