Overview

The Sales Enablement & Operations (SE&O) team plays an essential role in translating Microsoft’s Commercial Strategy to a local execution plan and driving operational excellence to achieve the greatest results possible. Our team drives cross-Region, cross-Area and cross-Subsidiary insight and execution excellence, bringing strategy and priorities to life by accelerating the pace of transformation and enabling Microsoft to deliver business impact at scale.

This role offers you a leadership position in Microsoft UK’s Commercial Planning processes focusing on billed annuity and quota, also enables you to become the subject matter expect on quota, in year cross geography & cross segment revenue disputes. You will gain insights on commercial licensing for fiscal planning and in year quota management.

You will drive the aligned segment sales operations programs and oversees execution support using tools, processes, and information for several solution areas related to Allocation/Disputes, Consumption, Customer Adds, and Pipeline. You will manage segment aligned sales operations planning processes using qualitative and quantitative methods and collaborate with stakeholders to align, refine and improve sales operations planning and execution. You will analyze and interpret data to provide recommendations for addressing sales performance blockers in conjunction with Sales Excellence. You will support your Sales team and nurture seller transformation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (RQs)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, Sales, Accounting, Information Systems, Social Sciences, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Several years (ideally 8+) of experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field
    • OR equivalent experience
  • Full proficiency in Excel including Power Pivot, Power Query and Power BI is crucial
  • Strong analytical mindset combined with proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (PQs)

  • Master’s degree in business administration, Organizational Design, or related field, or related field.
  • Several years (ideally 10+) of experience in sales operations, project management, analytics, compensation, sales performance analytics, finance/business analyst, process improvement, business development, consulting, finance, marketing, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • You will provide Business insights that accelerate Performance across Solution Areas and support the RoB (Rhythm of Business). Provide data-driven insights about sales execution, based on standard reporting, that drive accountability on action plans to meet operational goals. Support Tool simplification and drive Data Platform and Reporting consolidation by adopting standard Toolset. Partner with Global Sales to address business intelligence needs on a global scale.
  • You will modernize Sales Operations by driving adoption of the Global Sales Operations Center (GSOC) services and promoting its adoption and utilization throughout the organization. Lead standardization of processes and adoption of tools to enhance sales productivity and accelerate transformation.
  • You will land quota and non-financial metrics distribution that maximizes business performance. Utilize data-driven insights to identify trends, track sales performance, and provide recommendations for improving sales productivity and revenue growth. Leverage outsources Global Sales Operations Center (GSOC) services and resolve escalations.
  • You will manage the annuity planning & management process for UK Enterprise working with field sales teams, finance and sales excellence. This includes budget/quota baseline reviews, pipeline management & launching strategic initiatives to lead UK business with world class annuity management processes.
  • You will identify areas where additional training, resources, or support are needed and proactively seek opportunities to address these gaps. Stay informed about Microsoft's training and development programs, certifications, and resources. Foster peer-to-peer learning and collaboration, cross-training and knowledge sharing within the team and global community to enhance overall capabilities supporting an environment of continuous improvement.
