Overview

Come join the Human Resources (HR) Finance team as a Senior Finance Manager, Corporate Services Finance providing controllership support for the front-line customer facing Human Resources (HR) teams (Line HR, HR Consulting, and Corporate Functions). Finance has a seat at the table with the leadership teams of these organizations as a strategic partner. Your leadership partnership and analysis will be instrumental in understanding cost drivers, driving long term planning, controlling costs, and influencing resource allocation decisions.

The Line HR and HR Consulting teams are structured to support the various divisions across the company. They provide front line HR support in the areas of talent management (movement, development, talent planning); organization (design, diagnostics, change management) and Leadership (strategy, vision, execution and enablement). As the Senior Finance Manager for these organizations, you will partner with five Corporate Vice President (CVP) level business partners and their leadership teams.

You will need to become a trusted advisor to the CVP leadership team, fostering business partnership between our two teams. Your analysis and modeling skills, business acumen, communication skills, and sound judgment will help the HR leadership navigate resourcing decisions, leveraging your insights to help evaluate existing business processes for productivity, efficiency and budget optimization.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or preferred qualifications

  • Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
    • OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
  • 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
  • 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform analysis of the financial performance of the Line HR and Corp Functions teams and help senior team members analyze their business and opportunities for resource optimization. You’ll also drive annual business planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • You will provide support during financial close periods, and prepare recurring financial reporting, forecasts and presentations. You’ll also inform future projects by comparing financial results to the expected budget and forecast.
  • You’ll answer partner questions on reporting and analysis, and contribute insights on financial plans, variance analysis, long-range planning, and more. You’ll also apply foundational aspects of Microsoft Finance to collect information, perform analysis and reporting.
  • You will utilize data mining techniques and business intelligence to assemble data, then use statistical analysis, predictive analytics, and financial modeling techniques to inform actionable insights. As you do so, you’ll improve current data collection methods and communications.
  • To ensure compliance with company policies, legal standards, and reporting requirements, you’ll review the accuracy of financial documents and business processes. You’ll also support any questions regarding documentation, policies, and business requirements.
