As a Product Manager in the Azure Front Door team, you will work with cross functional teams to shape the future of the product. You will analyze competitive landscape, prioritize critical features, define customer/technical requirements and scope to enhance our product offerings. You will work with engineering to ensure we deliver our solutions on-time, with the highest quality, resiliency, telemetry and scalability to effectively deliver demands from the largest Azure customers. You will manage mission critical projects which will define how we route traffic at the rate of millions or requests per second destined across thousands of servers across the globe. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of industry experience with product suites from one of the cloud service providers like Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform or other large, distributed platforms
- Experience working with content delivery networks, load balancers or application security products like WAF, Firewall, DDoS protection
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Product Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $81,900 - $160,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,600 - $174,600 per year. Responsibilities
- You will work on customer requirements and functional specifications to define a feature and will assist others in facilitating usability reviews with customers.
- You will understand how your own feature integrates with the general roadmap and will coordinate with others to identify problems through scenario walkthroughs.
- You will learn to understand one or more success criteria of a feature. You’ll also help identify short-term investment opportunities and help engage partner support for a feature.
- You will assist Product Managers by helping build marketing, roll-out plans, and customer support plans. You’ll also promote the feature you worked on and present at events.
- You will help others collect performance metrics and form hypotheses to incrementally improve product development in specific areas.
- You’ll manage customer communities and help build trust with targeted customers.
