The Ads Trust and Safety Team plays a critical role in ensuring the sustainability of our advertising ecosystem by protecting users, advertisers, and publishers through robust safety strategies, policy standards, and enforcement mechanisms. This team upholds trust across our Search, Display, and Native Advertising channels, enabling innovation while safeguarding platform integrity.

We are seeking a visionary Principal Product Manager to lead the Advertising Trust and Safety Product Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring policy compliance, mitigating risks, and tackling safety challenges at scale—ranging from known vulnerabilities to emerging, unpredictable threats. This role offers the unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and partner with governments, regulatory bodies, and industry organizations to tackle evolving safety challenges, ensure compliance, and uphold trust across a global ad ecosystem.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years of experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • Proficiency in designing and scaling AI-driven solutions, including experience with large language models (LLMs) and machine learning frameworks.
  • Proven success in navigating diverse cultural, regulatory, and market dynamics, with expertise in managing global trust and safety initiatives across multiple geographies.
    Experience in digital advertising.
  • Trust and Safety Expertise: Hands-on experience addressing trust and safety challenges, including policy compliance, risk mitigation, and enforcement, with familiarity in leveraging AI technologies like large language models (LLMs) to solve complex safety problems.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Define the strategy and product solutions that address the complex intersection of user trust, regulatory requirements, and platform growth.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement AI-powered strategies to detect and respond to new and evolving threats while minimizing impact on user experience and business goals.
  • AI First Innovation: Collaborate with engineering teams to leverage LLMs and advanced AI technologies for real-time threat detection, policy compliance, and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Government and Industry Collaboration: Partner with governments, regulators, and industry organizations to address compliance requirements, build regulatory solutions, and align on global standards for trust and safety.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Legal, Compliance, and Customer Success teams to ensure the application of trust and safety policies aligns with stakeholder and customer needs.
  • Policy Advocacy: Lead the articulation of policy purpose, vision, and application to ensure clarity and adoption among global stakeholders, advertisers, and publishers.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Leverage insights from threat intelligence, user behavior, and enforcement trends to anticipate risks and align with regulatory frameworks globally.
