Overview

We are looking for a Launch Leader to join our Launch Enablement team in the Monetization & Business Planning organization. Microsoft is leading the world into a new era of experiences powered by artificial intelligence, and this opportunity will place you in the heart of the team who transforms Microsoft’s products and services into value for customers and partners while driving growth for the company.

As a Launch Leader on the Launch Enablement team, you will be a part of Microsoft’s AI transformation, managing product launches for the company’s broad portfolio, such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Power Platform, Windows, and Copilots while driving continuous improvement through process enhancements, automation, and creative problem solving. In this vital role, you will collaborate with product business planners, engineering, finance, product marketing, and other stakeholders. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering product launches across enterprise, public sector, and commercial customers. You will also lead initiatives to improve our ability to deliver launches quickly and accurately. A key opportunity of this position will be to use your creativity to identify when the infusion of AI into operational processes can accelerate improvements, such as by creatively building and training AI agents.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Information Systems, or related field, AND 4+ years’ experience in Operations, Marketing, Process Design, or Project Management,
    • OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 8+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience

    • OR Master's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field AND 6+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience

    • OR equivalent experience.

  • Relevant experience in launch operations, business planning, product management, or similar experience in the enterprise technology industry
  • Knowledge of and experience with artificial intelligence (AI) agents, including design, development, training, and implementation
  • Proven ability to thrive in ambiguous situations, with adaptability and growth mindset
  • Demonstrated ability as a project manager who can prioritize multiple activities to deliver on project scope and schedule
  • Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
  • Experience working with product and services catalogs and related systems

Launch Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product and services launches through project management and the translation of business intent into launch requirements – including new offerings, price changes, rebrands, and expanded geographic availability
  • Consult with business planning, product marketing, sales, business operations, and engineering on go-to-market strategies for new and updated offers, promotions, and pricing
  • Create launch roadmaps and executive updates
  • Track and communicate changes across launch team members and stakeholders
  • Improve organizational ability to deliver launches quickly and accurately through ongoing incremental continuous improvement, leading initiatives, and contributing to initiatives led by others.
  • Establish & maintain strong understanding of current AI tools & capabilities to identify and leverage AI capabilities to accelerate launch improvement initiatives
  • Drive operational efficiencies through thoughtful, customer- and data-driven analyses that contribute to speed, accuracy, and compliance
  • Respond to post-launch incidents in order to resolve business impacts and harness learnings to improve future launches (includes periodic on-call responsibility)
