Cloud Operations and Innovation (CO+I) is a growing organization within Microsoft that provides comprehensive support to procure, develop, and operate Microsoft’s physical cloud infrastructure, including datacenters. Our global network of highly secure datacenters spans 34 countries, connected by over 165,000 miles of fiber optic cables. They are the backbone of Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform and enable everything from AI infrastructure and collaboration tools to entertainment. We are looking for a passionate, high-energy individual to join the CO+I Cloud Infrastructure Acquisition team who will operate on both strategic and tactical levels to support the planning and delivery of entitled land, energy, and network that enables expansion of the Microsoft Cloud.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of detailed integrated schedules including timelines and dependencies for large-scale prepositioned and just-in-time projects. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are completed on time. You will monitor project risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential issues. You will continuously improve project management processes and tools to increase efficiency and effectiveness. We are detail-oriented, mission-driven, and passionate about innovation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Real Estate, Project Management, or related field AND 5+ years relevant experience
    • OR 7+ years equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Facilitate and participate in routine schedule reviews to analyze and validate progress.
  • Proactively analyze project schedules by tracking float consumption, perform schedule integrity checks, carry-out delay impact analysis, compare cost/resource curves to actuals, monitor monthly performance and carry out variance analysis supporting baseline management and change control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Update and continually improve program reporting to ensure real-time progress is tracked and presented for decision-making, health evaluations, and business opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate threats to the project schedules and initiate corrective actions through teammates.
  • Support collaborative workshops to help facilitate planning, coordination, and accurate progress reporting.
  • Use plain language to define complex program issues, assess various scenarios, and select the optimal execution plan to resolve issues and enable timely and predictable delivery.
  • Lead the development of program tools and processes to continuously improve, as well as improve key metrics for delivery timeline predictability.

Real Estate Portfolio Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.
