Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares Supply Chain is responsible for ensuring that the right spare part, is in the right place, at the right time and cost to support global capacity requirements. Microsoft has an exciting opportunity on the Spares Supply Chain team for a Senior Manager, Global Customer Operations in the Customer Operations team. The Spares Supply Chain is transforming the Cloud service parts supply chain to enable increased customer focus, quality, and efficiency and this position is a vital part of that journey from a customer facing / focus standpoint.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 8+ years’ experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, operations-related roles, or engineering
    • OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 12+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
    • OR Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, logistics, or operations-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.

Fulfillment & Logistics IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Drive operational performance across an end to end Spares Supply Chain on behalf of the customer, monitoring performance vs. customer service level agreements (SLA) commitments and quarterbacking the actions needed to ensure operational excellence.
  • This role will have dual responsibilities from a customer support and Supply Planning standpoint – (a) acting as the single point of contact for an identified customer base with programmatic accountability for Spares Supply Chain performance for the customer and (b) driving demand / supply plans to achieve service targets for the customer.
  • If there are gaps in customer performance or supply, drive issue resolution across multiple cross-functional teams to include root cause, preventive action, and sustainability of improvement efforts.
  • As the face of the Spares Supply Chain across all levels of the customer, build collaborative relationships with key customer contacts, acting as the voice of the customer back into the Spares Supply Chain with feedback and insights enabling priority setting.
