Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation (CO+I) is the engine that powers our cloud services. As a CO+I Regional Datacenter Program Manager, you will perform a key role in delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services including Bing, Office 365, Xbox, OneDrive, and the Microsoft Azure platform. Required Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years project management experience across large complex, cross-functional organizations
  • At least 3 years experience in data center-related functions for large enterprise organizations.
  • Must have prior experience in leading large projects end-to-end.
  • Experience working with network technologies including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Routing, and Switching.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Background Check Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

While not required, we also look for the following Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in project or program management and/or large-scale networks
  • Experience delivering large network or other IT hardware projects.
  • Experience in structured process improvement and efficiency gains (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc.)
  • 3+ Years experience in the development of tools and apps utilizing Query Languages, Power Apps, Power BI, Power Automate, Azure DevOps, Sharepoint, Dynamics.
  • Networking certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Awareness of IT Service Operations fundamentals and principles. (ITIL, MOF, OLA/SLA, CSI, etc.)
  • Project or program management certifications (e.g. PMI, etc.)

Responsibilities

As a successful Regional IT Program Manager, your performance objectives include:

  • Analyse and interpret project data to provide recommendations and strategic recommendations for datacenter-related operations models, support, and implementation plans.
  • Document and improve processes around planning, implementation, operations, confidentiality, security, and compliance to ensure the work that is being done is securely, compliantly, efficiently, and per standards.
  • Participate in technical communities to stay informed of best practices and changes within the broader discipline and share them with the organization.
  • Gather and provide feedback on lessons learned, best practices, and innovations on process/procedures and tools to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Create and maintain a program to identify best practices, design process and procedure documents, and socialize those across the APAC Region.
  • Create lessons learned documentation, best practices, and innovations on existing process/procedures and tools to improve efficiencies and productivity in post-RNI activities.
  • Utilize your knowledge to train, equip, and empower local teams to build and maintain a network which will support their campus through its entire lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with other DC Ops Regions and global teams to align deployment and operational processes and procedures globally.
  • Empower a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of data center activities.
  • Collaborate directly with site management and third-party vendors at new campuses and data centers to align best practices and deliver new locations quickly and reliably.
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities and communicate to stakeholders and other teams to drive resolution.
  • Learn, live, and coach the One Microsoft culture and values. Lead through change by bringing clarity, generating energy, and delivering success.

  • Independently execute projects that help our site teams understand the findings and translating them into action to benefit our Datacenter Operations.
  • Leading programs to align strategies, strategic plans, and solutions-sets between the customer, internal groups, and Datacenter Operations.
  • Demonstrating structured thinking, planning and the ability to execute by collaborating and working through others (teammates, SMEs and leadership teams) and influencing without authority.
  • Communicating effectively and concisely with stakeholders and leaders about our programs and objectives.
