Microsoft Devices manages exciting products including Surface, Xbox, Surface Hub, HoloLens, and various accessories. The environment is dynamic and innovative where the finance team partners with Hardware Development, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations teams to achieve and define the financial goals.
The Devices finance team is looking for a motivated individual with enthusiasm to take on a high impact role as Group Finance Manager - Devices Supply Chain Logistics in our Global Fulfillment and Logistics/Channel Team. The individual will lead a team of high performing talent to manage our the E2E of fulfilment, logistics (inbound, outbound, and reverse logistics), Software Manufacturing and other third-party products (3PP). In this role you will partner with the Fulfilment and Logistics (F&L) Operation, Planning, Sourcing and New Product Initiative (NPI) teams to connect our operational strategies to our long-term financial goals. You will also be responsible for in-year financial management which includes driving optimization and efficiencies to achieve near-term and long-range margin objectives.
This Finance role will be instrumental in supporting & influencing our operational strategies that are critical to enabling the success of Microsoft’s growing Device’s business. The successful candidate will bring a combination of financial expertise and amazing leadership ability to drive superior financial results in close alignment with our business partners. The person will ensure controls and compliance policies are met, create new standard operating procedures, improve processes, and actively monitor risks and opportunities. Finally, this role provides financial leadership for a broad business scope across Devices including Xbox, Surface, HoloLens, Surface Hub, and Personal Computer (PC) peripherals.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
- OR equivalent experience.
Financial Analysis M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.

Prioritization:
- Perform analysis and research of present and future financial performance from New Product Initiative (NPI) to the end of life (EOL) decisions and how they impact logistics & fulfillment (e.g., product launch model, storage and capacity negotiations, sourcing rates etc.).
- Lead the execution of long-range business planning and forecasting process. Complete analysis, modeling, and research to support preliminary and adjusted forecast cycles. Partners and solicits insight from business and other finance stakeholders
- Drive improved insight into the business, potentially including development, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) and performance metrics and scorecards, to drive organizational accountability and performance.
- Drive overall business process improvement (e.g., reporting tools, 3rd party vendor management, internal and external processes etc.)
- Aggressively managing cost, enabling growth, ensuring controllership and compliance through direct and in-direct leadership competencies

- Develop and maintain effective business partnerships, manage competing priorities, and provide guidance based on data analysis in a white space environment. Someone who’s comfortable in dealing with ambiguities.
- Contribute to new and unconventional methods and approaches to data collection, analysis, interpretation, and financial models. Provide advice and direction to teammates and peers on data management and operations.
- Exhibit great communication skills and executive presence. The candidate should be comfortable supporting, auditing, and sometimes challenging business model assumptions all while adapting to a rapidly evolving environment.
- Communicate results in a compelling and understandable message. Articulates understanding and awareness of business partner situation.

- Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes.
- Embracing a growth mindset to make judgement calls in an ambiguous environment. The candidate will prioritize various Ad-Hoc requests, new initiatives, and existing projects to help solve some of the most complex Supply Chain projects.
- Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal standards, and regulatory requirements by reviewing and monitoring accuracy of financial documents and business processes. Driving corrective measures. Consulting with business partners on sharing financial information, approved instruments and processes, and consistency with corporate policies. Collaborating with Compliance groups to ensure the team is current on company policies and procedures.
