CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
Within Azure Hardware Systems & Infrastructure, the Spares Parts team is responsible for ensuring that the right spare parts, are in the right place, at the right time in support of delivering global capacity requirements. We are looking for a Supply Chain Planner and/or Spare Parts Life Cycle Management professional to proactively manage demand and supply activities for specific hardware product within the Cloud space. In this role, you will perform complex forecast analysis for spare parts and/or manage supply side purchase activities to ensure positioning of Hardware at global scale. In this role you may also manage and enable proactive Spare Parts Life Cycle decisions by influencing and executing cross-fucntional activities. This role will operate in a global, dynamic and fast-paced environment. In this role, you will ensure that we provide and enable core equipment in support of global teams by engineering and managing robust processes for reliable delivery of Service Parts to our datacenters worldwide.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 3+ years supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
- OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Analytics, or related field AND 1+ year(s) supply planning, operations, supply chain, indirect supply planning, technology-related supply chain, sourcing and manufacturing, or related experience
- OR equivalent experience
- 1+ year demonstrated experience in supply chain engineering in a complex, and/or large-scale manufacturing supply chain.
- 1+ year experience in Planning and Operations and/or maintenance & repair operations environments (service & repair).
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qulifications:
- 2+ years of experience in supply chain planning and/or operations, especially in service & repair settings.
- Familiar with supply chain hardware engineering, including demand and supply factors and operational execution.
- Excellent technical problem solving and communication skills, with a focus on process engineering and automation.
- Adaptable to a fast-paced dynamic environment with changing requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Proficient with world-class inventory management tools such as SAP/IBP.
- Demonstrated inventory planning expertise, including multi-echelon inventory optimization.
- Understanding of supply chain hardware engineering including gathering, analyzing, and defining demand and supply variables and operational execution.
- Expertise in deployment & service of high-performance, highly available, large scale server hardware, network device and related technologies, preferably in tier one cloud technology providers
- Knowledge and understanding of cloud infrastructure and datacenter issues such as physical space, rack units, break-fix requirements and incident management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal guidance
Supply Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.

Responsibilities
- Execute Supply Chain Demand and Supply and/or product Life-cycle activities in support of Global Datacenter Operations.
- Enable demand and supply Data, Processes and Systems & Tools to optimize inventory globally, and manage cross functional activities across operations, engineering, and other key stakeholder groups.
- Program Manage key strategic and transformational initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across multiple disciplines and teams.
- Drive analysis and optimization of spares parts inventory and will help automate solutions and scale over time.
