As Partner Solution Sales, you will be responsible for enable prioritized partners' capability and business growth, working with Customer Business Decision Makers to understand their unique business needs. You will be on point to orchestrate an extensive v-team covering multiple solution areas including modernize communications, employee experience, transition to cloud, hybrid meetings, frontline workers, and discover business insights, selling solutions that will empower their employees and drive their business and work in a team, enabling and accelerating the customers through digital transformation.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 7+ years core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, or business development experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Business Administration or related field AND 10+ years core sales, channel sales, industry or solution selling, or business development experience.
  • Capability of building strategic relationships and partnering with senior account and partner executives.
  • Excellent record of sales delivery and execution.
  • Distribution channel management with proven business operational excellence and sales results through joint business planning, landing channel strategies, account management, and performance tracking.
  • Vision of driving long-term sustainable sales growth with partners.
  • Capabilty and reliance of delivery on Quarterly and Annual Account Budgeted Revenue.

Responsibilities

Co-Sell Partnerships
  • Develops pipelines with co-sellers; engages prioritized partners and co-sellers proactively to ensure right co-sell prioritization and pipeline coverage to support targets. Participates in intellectual property (IP) and service sales forecasting, as well as account/territory planning to identify and address gaps. Drives pipeline reviews with top co-sell partners and Microsoft sellers to evaluate pipeline effectiveness.
  • Brings stakeholders from different parts of the business (e.g., account team unit, solution team unit, business groups, customer program management, worldwide inside sales, cloud specialist) together to create demand, bring new ideas to market, establish quality partner connections, and orchestrate processes to set expectations and generate trust. Refers to solution/practice maps or marketing campaigns to support partner strategy. Drives leads and opportunities for co-sell-ready partners with internal teams (e.g., Partner Marketing Advisor [PMA] team) and provides feedback on Solution/Practice map coverage or marketing campaigns. Leads partner strategy efforts and engages in partner-to-partner collaborations to provide solutions to customers and to scale offerings.
  • Manages partner co-selling for Microsoft’s most strategic solution partners to drive joint pipeline and partner consumption of Microsoft products at scale. Connects with Microsoft’s sales and partner communities to bridge and support partner-to-partner engagements as needed, aiming to scale the offering also through co-sell-ready partners. Identifies and lands sales offers, incentives, and surface customer wins for partner sell-with evidence. Supports account teams while navigating within partners' solutions and expertise, including global solution partners or Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Carries a target on intellectual property (IP) and/or service co-sell metrics, connects partners with sales teams, and drives increased awareness of partner solutions across verticals to move sales forward.
  • Proactively creates, nurtures, and influences a partner ecosystem to drive larger impact for the customer. Facilitates match-making to drive opportunities (e.g., digital transformations), connecting partners to sellers and working closely with account teams to align Microsoft solutions to specific business needs across horizontals and verticals. Delivers and integrates partner expertise and solutions into sales cycles that grow consumption of Microsoft products.

Sales Execution

  • Engages in conversations with customers aligned to their industry to introduce how other workloads could enable digital transformation areas that is aligned with the customer's industry and turns opportunities into deals. Initiates conversations with customers on digital transformation in one or more solution areas, in collaboration with partners and services. Creates guiding examples of digital transformation through seminars, workshops, webinars, and direct engagement.
  • Collaborates with team members to discover new opportunities. Drives incremental revenue growth through personal campaigns (e.g., portfolio analysis) or internal sources (e.g., Marketing). Collaborates with account teams, partners, or services to track and qualify new opportunities. Collaborates with other teams (e.g., account teams) and services to build pipeline. Interfaces with customers and builds relationships via social selling. Applies Microsoft's sales process (MSP) to determine the quality of the opportunity and whether to proceed.
  • Identifies opportunities to drive consumption and grow business with existing customers by initiating conversations, providing demos or quotes, and collaborating with partners or internal teams (e.g., Technical Sales Professionals, Global Black Belts). For licensing transactions and project engagements, ensures rapid and robust deployment plan at point of sale that is validated by services and partners.
  • Identifies customer business needs and technology readiness. Contributes to the development of solutions in collaboration with internal teams, partners, and services. Proposes prioritized solutions that align with customers' needs. Articulates the business value of proposed solutions.
  • Proactively builds external stakeholders' mapping. Collaborates with account teams (e.g., Account Executives) to identify and engage senior business subject matter decision makers at the customer's/partner's business.
  • Implements strategies to accelerate the closing of deals. Contributes input on strategies to drive and close prioritized opportunities. Coaches junior team members in deal plan execution. Implements close plans (e.g., how to map timeline, engage the customer, get customer buy-in and commitment) to de-risk and drive predictable deal closure.

Technical Expertise

  • Leads conversations and sets up events within Microsoft. Mentors others and develops strategies for best practice sharing across subsidiaries. Contributes ideas that can be instituted across Microsoft.
  • Initiates conversations with prospective customers/partners at events to expand external network. Acts as a subject matter expert in one or more solution area(s).
  • Collaborates with the 'compete' global black belts (GBB) to analyze competitor products, solutions, and/or services and implements strategies to position Microsoft against competitors in customer communication. Proactively provides analysis of the competitive landscape in supported solution area. Evaluates opportunities and makes recommendations on pursuit or withdrawal. Holistic value of MSFT platform versus single-point solution that positions MSFT favorably against competitors.
Maintains and stays up to date on Microsoft's sales compliance processes. Drives sales with partners in accordance with Microsoft's compliance policies.
