As an MBA Cloud Solution Architect, you will leverage your advanced business acumen and strategic thinking to gather valuable customer and partner insights. You will design robust architectures, provide expert guidance, and deliver Microsoft solutions that drive significant business outcomes. Your role will involve resolving complex issues to accelerate consumption and using your knowledge of Microsoft and competitor products to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities in customer and partner interactions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree (or currently pursuing)
  • 1+ year(s) experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 2+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications).

Cloud Solution Architecture IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies and begins developing impactful relationships with internal teams, customer and partner technical specialists during initial preparation and ramp-up stages. Proposes viable solutions (including recommending qualified partners) based on specific technical products or customer project needs. Demonstrates complex concepts and proves the capability of those solutions through design collaboration sessions with the customer/partner.
  • Independently works with the customer to identify, determine root causes, and resolve blockers to accelerate consumption and solution implementation (e.g., by application of technical capabilities). Identifies non-technical issues and escalates for removal by the appropriate party. Applies business and technical knowledge of architecture or other Microsoft solutions to meet business and information technology (IT) requirements and resolve identified technical constraints.
  • Leverages knowledge of the offerings, practices, products, services, solutions, and value propositions of Microsoft and its competitors in customer/partner conversations to assess customer/partner needs and independently identify growth opportunities (including potentially guiding partners in developing for them).
  • Supports research projects and contributes to scoping surveys for customers/partners to assess potential intellectual property (IP) needs or process changes.
  • Supports identification of opportunities for IP reuse and consumption acceleration.
