We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer to play a key role in crafting and delivering our next-generation Host Maintenance Platform. You will be the mastermind behind our cutting-edge product, working alongside a team of skilled engineers to create a seamless change management platform for Azure's future needs. Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in building highly available distributed systems at scale.
- 2+ years of experience in architecting and delivering distributed cloud services.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional / Preferred Qualifications:
- Communication skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and drive clarity.
- Experience working across various disciplines, groups, and teams.
- Experience with Cloud technologies and environments.
Software Engineering IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.

- Design solutions that streamline and automate provisioning and deployment for Azure customers.
