In Bing our mission is to delight users everywhere with the best search experience. Bing is part of the newly established Microsoft AI organization; we are looking for a Senior Business Program Manager to be part of our Executive office reporting to the Chief of Staff.


The Senior Business Program Manager for the Bing Organization will collaborate and lead workstreams across engineering, finance, human resources (HR), and the Global Talent Acquisition team, leveraging expertise in workforce strategy, talent analytics, and financial planning to align business priorities with actionable insights. This role will focus on driving business impact through strategic workforce planning, optimizing resource allocation, and enhancing organizational effectiveness to meet critical business needs. By delivering data-driven recommendations and building efficient processes, this role directly contributes to improved organizational productivity, hiring excellence, and manager effectiveness, enabling strategic resource investment decisions that drive better products and business outcomes.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 6+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
    • OR equivalent experience

Business Program Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $115,000 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $146,200 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analysis and Expertise: Use advanced analytical tools to deliver actionable insights, address challenges, and influence decisions on resource allocation and workforce planning. Identify data gaps, improve quality, and collaborate with relevant teams to enhance pipelines and integrations. Ensure data is effectively presented to support strategic objectives.
  • Data /Reporting Improvement, Efficiency, and Innovation: Implement methods to create efficiency in analytics and reporting, making them reusable and self-service. Standardize, share, and scale insights. Evaluate and implement automation for ad hoc analyses or reporting.
  • Using Data for Strategic Influencing and Collaboration: Build and foster relationships across teams to ensure access to quality data, tools, and methodologies that address business needs and deliver impactful insights. Guide the development of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations to present analyses effectively. Synthesize insights into compelling narratives that influence senior stakeholders' decisions, while driving adoption of tools and processes to enhance reporting and presentation efficiency.
  • Process Design and Execution: Execute budget/headcount management as well as hiring processes using advanced knowledge of tools and policies. Lead end-to-end view of expected business outcomes. Manage stakeholder engagement and collaborate to address pain points and identify solutions.
  • Process Governance, maintenance, optimization: Lead governance for complex processes spanning multiple business functions, such as workforce planning and resource allocation, while maintaining documentation for flow, controls, systems, and requirements. Optimize and transform budgeting and headcount allocation processes for increased efficiency and effectiveness. Identify opportunities for improvements, build a business case for change, and lead program-level change management
  • Organization Effectiveness: Drive organizational effectiveness by monitoring team and organizational health, identifying opportunities to foster a positive and productive work environment. Develop strategies to enhance talent retention and provide coaching and support to managers, empowering them to improve their leadership effectiveness through targeted training and resources. Additionally, align business operations activities with the leader's objectives to maximize and extend their impact.
  • Special Projects/Programs and Initiatives: Drive cross-team projects to meet changing business needs. Engage in project management to ensure organization-wide implementation of strategic efforts.
