The Finance Data and Experiences organization (FD&E) builds scaled solutions that enable Microsoft to run its end-to-end business more effectively and efficiently. FD&E operates within the business and has proficient delivery partnerships across Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Engineering. Our products influence data-driven decision making across a myriad of users and audiences ranging from the company’s Leadership Team to front-line sellers working directly with customers.

As a Software Engineer II, you will have an opportunity to work with the latest cloud technologies to build industry-leading business management solutions for your customers. In this Software Engineer II role, you will work with Azure, Synapse, and other cloud-native platforms to help architect and develop a suite of future-state analytics capabilities.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of software development experience with big data processing systems or online services.
- 2+ years of experience with any of the following: (SQL Server, Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Databricks).
Preferred Qualifications
- Passion for building highly scalable, reliable, cloud services, and data.
- Ability to communicate technical details clearly across teams.
- Excellent analytical skills with systematic and structured approach to software design.
- Experience building cloud services on Azure is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Finance data and business rhythms a plus.
- Experience with or exposure to Agile and iterative development processes.
- Ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies.
Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year.

- Leverage sound engineering practices and principles.
- Flight code changes, use telemetry and analytics to take a understand customer impact.
- Provide technical feedback to our product engineering partners to evolve and mature our Azure services and Power Platform.
- Work with multiple client partner teams to implement cohesive end-to-end experiences.
