As a Cloud Solution Architect - Modern Work you will be passionate about driving our customers’ business applications & AI transformation on the Microsoft platform. In this customer-facing role, you will own both the business applications-focused technical relationship and technical strategy between the customer and Microsoft, helping customers to leverage their Microsoft investments through architecture, implementation and operational health engagements.

We are currently looking for Cloud Solution Architect - Modern Work professionals to join our teams across various business groups, for varying customer sizes, in our enterprise, regulated, and partner services organizations. By applying to this role, you will be considered for multiple opportunities within Microsoft across the United States including locations beyond where the role is posted. This role is flexible in that you can work up to 50% from home. Travel percentages will vary according to role.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 2+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience working on technical projects with experience designing and deploying solutions in Modern Work/Microsoft365 solutions or related, along with knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures for integrating on-premises workloads with Azure resources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external).
  • 4+ years experience working on technical projects.
  • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications). Certification in one or more of the following technologies preferred: Microsoft Azure fundamentals, M365 fundamentals. Cloud Security, Teams Administration, SharePoint Certifications.
  • Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of Cloud and/or hybrid messaging/collaboration/unified environments.
  • Breadth of technical experience and knowledge, with depth in two or more of the following Microsoft 365 solutions: Microsoft Teams, Teams Phone & Rooms, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online & Viva platform, Power Platform Solutions, Windows & Cloud Endpoint, Identity and Access, Management, Information Protection, Governance & Risk Management, Compliance Management.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year.
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.

Responsibilities

Customer Centricity

  • Customer Satisfaction: Drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor to customers by leveraging M365 Enterprise Services expertise to enable defined Customer Success Plan outcomes. You will actively listen and respectfully challenge to drive the best outcomes.
  • Customer Insights: Provide feedback and insights from customers back to the relevant MS teams to enable continuous improvement.

Business Impact

  • Consumption (Cloud & Support) growth: Develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results by working with business and technical decision makers to ensure they understand Microsoft's M365 value proposition and get value from their investment in the Microsoft technology.
  • Resolution of Customer Blockers: Identify resolutions to issues blocking go-live of customer success projects by leveraging deep knowledge of M365 services OR deep knowledge of Teams, Phone, and voice services and technical subject matter expertise. Lead the technical conversations with customers to drive value from their MS investments. Deliver all work according to Microsoft best practices and policies and using repeatable IP.
