The Microsoft Business Operations Product & Launch group is a dynamic and fast evolving team with a mission to deliver Microsoft’s products and services to market with speed, quality, and compliance. The organization is responsible for working with internal stakeholders to ensure the successful launch of Microsoft products and services to Commercial and Consumer customers. Our focus is on scale through automation & continuous improvement, operational excellence, and timely delivery to customers and marketplaces worldwide. As a Operations Program Manager, Product Launch, you will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders (e.g. Product, Marketing, Engineering, Finance, Tax, etc.) to understand, capture, and translate launch requirements into high quality configuration that ensures Microsoft’s broad catalog of products and services ship on time, to the right regions and channels, and at the right prices. You will do this through process excellence, data analytics, quality assurance, and by leveraging automated solutions. This opportunity will allow you to develop deep business acumen across Consumer and Commercial business lines, execute across different launch process and systems landscapes, and play a critical operational role getting cutting edge Microsoft products and services to market. Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 2+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Business level fluency to read, write and speak English.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Operations, Business Supply Chain, Finance, Business Management, Accounting, Human Resources (HR), Organizational Development or related field AND 5+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
    • OR Master's Degree in Management, Business Administration, or related field AND 3+ years Operations or Process Design or Program/Project Management experience
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Analytical skills and problem solving, relationship building, decision making and presentation capabilities.
  • Design or Program/Project Management work experience.

  • Launch Management and Product go-to-market execution experience.

  • Catalog, Offer or Pricing Management experience.

  • Quality assurance, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking capabilities.

  • Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel, ERP, SAP, PowerBI / Data Visualization.

  • SQL querying, Visual Basic, or PowerApps is a plus.

  • Lean Methodology and/or Six Sigma experience.

Responsibilities

  • Translate complex business requirements from all stakeholders into a data plan of record that meets launch goals and desired marketplace capabilities (e.g. accurate product attribution, price, dates).
  • Develop knowledge of broad operational and functional areas, their requirements, and interdependencies to support translation of marketing strategy into the launch of high-quality product and service configuration.
  • Garner support and alignment with stakeholders for the deliverables and objectives of the launch and incorporate them into the product design, plan, and execution.
  • Bring stakeholders in at the right time for quality assurance validation, communicates progress, identifies gaps, and ensures risks are mitigated associated with the product configuration and launch.
  • Identify and track launch issues and risks, manages change control, cross-group orchestration, and product configuration milestones to ensure a consistent, predictable, and measurable launch experience.
  • Demonstrate operational excellence by finding efficiencies and project managing continuous improvements across process and systems landscapes that drive increased value for our customers.
  • Evaluate data and metrics across the E2E (end-to-end) process and present results. Ensures the successful launch of products and services, troubleshooting any issues that arise and driving timely resolution.
