Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 data centers supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
The Network Infrastructure Deployment team delivers the hyper-scale, low latency, high reliability network connecting customers around the globe to the rapidly growing Microsoft Cloud. As part of the Cloud and Enterprise organization, we support the needs of more than 200 Microsoft online services, including Bing, Office 365, SharePoint, Skype, OneDrive and several hundred thousand customers using Azure to host and run their Cloud Services in over 100 data centers, running millions of servers and edge computing nodes all over the world. Our customers and partners rely on our commitment, follow through and continuous improvement to achieve their goals. As a Technical Program Manager, you will be able to develop and execute on strategies to deliver Cloud network infrastructure along with the related technologies to support data center capacity demands at scale in a dynamic, fast paced environment. Applying a system thinking approach, you will need to understand the product/program lifecycle process, apply technical insights and deep knowledge of constraints along the deployment execution process and across ecosystem teams to drive network deployments that ensure predictable delivery of capacity to end customers on time. You are part of a global team where you will plan, lead, and coordinate with global stakeholders and external suppliers to deploy greenfield and brownfield network infrastructure site
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects. Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years’ experience in engineering, product/technical program management OR equivalent experience.
The ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are needed for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screening: Microsoft Cloud Background Check - requirement to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check is needed upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or Computer science or applicable background.
- 3 to 5 years proven experience in program management of large-scale Data center build projects.
- Experience in network infrastructure experience (3 to 5 years) and proven track record of coordinating hyper scale program/project delivery within large IT/Telecommunications and/or Internet Service Provider experience and industry concepts.
- Demonstrated technical/process problem solving and communication skills to make sense of ambiguity and drive outcomes.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with often rapidly changing or ambiguous requirements.
- Proven track record of large-scale program/project delivery.
- Very good use of MS office productivity tools – Excel, Microsoft Project, power-bi, Kusto etc.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, procurement and trade.
- Well versed in program management methodologies, approaches, and tools with a PMP/Six Sigma certification.

Responsibilities
- Drives deep analysis of deployment progress, blockers, and incidents by leveraging existing tools, reports and creating new reports and dashboards through Microsoft based tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Develops a deep understanding of the workflows in the system as well as the actual work required by data centers and engineering groups. Leads initiatives to enhance processes and drive standardization against mainstream deployments
- Owns metrics and analytics that show the performance of the deployments against goals, as well as trending
- Project managing deployments including network and supporting infrastructure
- Owns hitting specific cycle time and lead-time goals regarding delivery of the capacity throughout the process
- Drives deep analysis of deployment progress, blockers, and incidents by leveraging existing tools, reports and creating new reports and dashboards through Microsoft based tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Makes data-driven decisions and speaks to key stakeholders in terms of data-driven stories
- Utilizes enhanced tooling, reports and dashboards to drive daily and weekly triage of blockers in the system as well as predictive indicators for demand to be on track
- Develops and drives strategies to manage deployment demand through the workflow management system in alignment with organizational goals related to throughput and cycle time
- Drives process standards and common methodologies for various physical and logical deployment activities such as network cabling installation, procurement, docking coordination, network provisioning, etc. • Collaborates closely with data center PM’s and Engineering groups as a part of process enhancements
