Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization.
The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.
We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. Team's charter is to build a data platform that provide centralized, curated, high-quality, governed data, in an industry standard format, to enable data driven, data literate, highly efficient organization, like the cloud supply chain to achieve more.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years' experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of experience in data analytics domain and supply chain
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in product management, preferably in the data analytics domain.
- Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and driving successful product launches.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to influence and persuade others.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to derive insights from data and make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Proven leadership abilities, with experience leading cross-functional teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, from individual contributors to senior executives.
- Strategic Thinking: Strategic mindset with the ability to think long-term and develop innovative product solutions that address market needs and business goals.
- Customer Focus: Strong customer orientation and empathy, with a focus on understanding user needs and delivering products that provide value and improve user experience.
- Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and navigate ambiguity.
- Continuous Learning: A passion for learning and staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management and data analytics.
- Domain Expertise: Experience or knowledge in specific industries such as cloud supply chain, with a solid understanding of industry-specific challenges, regulations, and best practices.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Product Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- Product Strategy Development: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends.
- Product Planning and Road mapping: Define data product requirements, write functional specs, based on business needs, end user feedback, and data analysis.
- Create and prioritize product features and enhancements. Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key milestones and deliverables.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, data science, business analytics, and other teams to drive product development.
- Communicate product requirements and priorities effectively to cross-functional stakeholders.
- Collaborate with different teams to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support.
- Data Analysis and Insights: Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform product decisions.
- Use data-driven approaches to evaluate product performance and iterate on features.
- Utilize analytics tools and platforms to track key performance metrics and monitor adoption and behavior.
- Product Development and Delivery: Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept to launch.
- Define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams to prioritize development tasks and address technical challenges.
- Product Change Management and Adoption: Collaborate with business teams to develop launch strategies and messaging.
- Support efforts through product demonstrations, training sessions, and collateral development.
- Monitor user adoption and engagement metrics, and implement strategies to drive product usage.
- Product Performance Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess product performance and success.
- Conduct regular reviews and retrospectives to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Iterate on the product strategy and roadmap based on user feedback, business needs, and business goals.
