Qualifications

  • Solid experience in online media, native or Search Engine Marketing required
  • Solid experience in search media sales
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Advanced degree (MA, MBA, PhD) preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Outlook, Power Point
  • Relentless focus on the partner experience and ability to develop new relationships with strategic partners based in trust and partnership
  • Effectively navigate through ambiguity and complexities related to client management
  • Partner with the account team to ensure proposals are meaningful, persuasive and relevant to clients
  • Evangelize Microsoft Advertising platforms and deliver training programs as appropriate to our customers
  • Balance of passion and objective business judgment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills across all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, create and build ongoing relationships and deliver customized, customer-focused pitches and solutions
  • Experience establishing and nurturing mid to senior-level, long term relationships with digital marketing executives and advertising community thought leaders
  • Proven track record of exceptional performance, high productivity and meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

Microsoft is looking for a top performing Partner Sales Executive with search and native advertising experience who can drive revenue and increase customer satisfaction by developing and cultivating strategic partner relationships and delivering customized search solutions aligning to the partner’s advertising needs.

  • Reach and exceed personal sales quota. Through thoughtful and strategic planning, the individual in this role will achieve their personal sales quota for their assigned book of business and pipeline. Demonstrate deep understanding of the drivers of search marketplace and advertiser lifecycle performance. Formulate a sales strategy and vision for each partner, engaging with the insights and account management teams for account history, trend data, seasonality and competitive analysis in support of partner planning process.
  • Build intentional partner relationships that drive revenue. With your robust experience in building partner relationships, conduct proactive meetings to develop trusted advisor status, build loyalty, improve business understanding/education and deepen relationships. Develop and nurture relationships with your partners to increase satisfaction year over year.
  • Plan and pitch proactive solutions that grow revenue and meet advertiser needs. Identify opportunities and create compelling proposals that meet customer goals. Educate partners on how the Bing Ads platform and features help them to reach their business goals and new markets/targets.
  • Act as strategic thought leader for a partner-focused account team. Develop and grow mutually beneficial working relationships with key internal stakeholders. Build and maintain a network of key internal contacts and utilize these relationships to present a united front to Partners and secure strong cross-group collaboration that enables quick responses. Lead account team to prepare content for partner engagements, balance work load, evaluate account performance, identify opportunities and follow up/through on requests. Ensure the account team is continually putting the partner first and providing world class service.
  • Continually develop industry knowledge and grow professionally. Develop and maintain an expert level understanding of the search industry and trends affecting or influencing the marketplace and provide insights to partners. Be present at industry events and engage in customer activities/events to increase industry and product knowledge. Consistently make every effort to increase knowledge of the industry and strengthen business acumen.
