Qualifications

A graduate with 12+ years of experience with at least 4+ years of Project Management experience. A background in Infra/Apps or Data & AI related areas , while desirable, is not essential. Excellent communication skills are required. Project management related certification like PMP/PMI-ACP is desirable. Demonstrated management of medium to large complexity projects involving employees, customers, and partners. Ability to work with different Microsoft internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

Project Manager (CPM) enables both Microsoft and Customer outcomes through orchestration of delivery teams. They govern either a single engagement or a portfolio of projects and are a key driver of the delivery lifecycle, using their executive expertise to remove barriers and deliver successful outcomes. The Consulting Project Manager is a key role in managing a successful engagement, maintaining portfolio health and leading a team of delivery professionals.

Our team of Consulting Project Managers comprise an unusual mix of project/program management and consulting skills, along with a passion for technology. We are responsible for keeping the project team working on the highest priority tasks, removing risks and impediments, maintaining on track financials and leading communications with stakeholders and the end Customer. As a trusted advisor to our Customers, you will be responsible for the successful execution of one or more projects at a time, providing guidance, coaching, and project leadership. By mentoring and influencing, you will drive the highest quality and the strongest sense of Customer focus on each project, while helping to achieve both Customer satisfaction and Microsoft targets. We also play a key role in ensuring our business is empowered to make decisions and assess portfolio health, through accurate forecasting and project health status submissions.

    • Deliver the project or solution as per the baseline scope, cost & schedule.
    • Maintain high team & customer satisfaction levels.
    • Ensure high quality delivery without escalations.
    • Manages project interdependencies, critical path, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful implementation and rollout
    • Reports on program level status for the program team and delivery status to Executive stakeholders
    • Contribute towards Domain initiatives
    • Identifies and supports key program objectives, risks, and drivers and creates plans to manage these elements
    • Identifies scope change and leads efforts to develop, estimate, and communicate budget and schedule impacts
    • Track, manage, and report program financials – Identify risk to project budget and work with project teams to remediate
    • Participate in, facilitate post project, and phase reviews to cultivate a learning organization
    • Maintain Readiness through different training programs & certifications.
    • Manage partners & ensure good quality project delivery
    • Status reporting & managing executive communications
    • Manage project and practice health metrics
    • Maintain utilization levels in line with organization metrics
    • Work on pre-sale estimations / Change Requests
