The Surface Post Launch Engineering team is looking for someone that can help shape the future of devices by being the face of our in-market products.

We're seeking a talented Technical Program Manager II with exposure to end-to-end product lifecycle. You will lead a PM team to help shape the future of devices by planning, driving and implementing effective and scalable solutions for our in-market products with quality and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years' experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Effective verbal and written communication
  • Capability to understand and integrate technical concepts across various disciplines.

Other Requirements

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience shipping software or hardware
  • Experience shipping hardware and software through at least 1 product cycle
  • An understanding of firmware/driver development and servicing
  • Motivated and self-driven attitude.
  • Responsible for collaboration with partners across organizational boundaries.
  • Responsible for driving/contributing to product milestones and reviews

  • Driving the highest quality experiences across our device portfolio.
  • Monitoring and reporting to leadership using data from a variety of sources including telemetry, customer support, and our commercial teams
  • Driving internal and external partners to deliver fixes necessary to drive customer satisfaction and meet business goals
  • Driving learnings into new product development

  • Outstanding cross-discipline and cross-team collaboration skills
  • An ability to communicate effectively across partner teams and to leadership
