As a Solution Architect focusing on Data you will lead on understanding Customer and Partner technical environments and deployment using project management methodologies and practice development as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for shaping and executing projects by gathering insights and working with various stakeholders. You will be responsible for architecture design by defining and documenting architecture, generating intellectual property and developing a network of relationships, initiating community events, and mentoring colleagues.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
- OR master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
- OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Data)
- OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Data)
- OR equivalent experience
- Technical sales experience
- Project management experience
- People management experience, including managing consultant practice managers, technical sales managers, and/or technical architect managers
- Experience in data architecture and solution design.
- Experience with Azure cloud services, including Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Experience working with AI and machine learning technologies, particularly Azure OpenAI.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying CoPilots or similar AI-driven assistants.
- Proven ability to develop and implement data governance frameworks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- You will gather customer/partner insights from a broad range of stakeholders as well as the main business sponsor to shape and form both the definition and ongoing execution of projects.
- You will support team members on resourcing to ensure utilization performance meet target/forecast and works with customer/partner stakeholders (e.g., Enterprise Architects, Security Team, Development Team, Operations Team) and business sponsor to socialize both the business solution and the project approach to determine if changes are needed to the business solution.
- You will define and document the architecture through an architecture description document, an architecture decisions log, and a requirements/constraints traceability matrix to communicate the value proposition of the business solution along with the project approach.
- You will generate new and/or improvements to existing intellectual property as well as anticipate and address organization and industry-wide gaps, patterns, and needs to drive change.
- You will develop a deep network of internal/external relationships with senior-level decision makers at high-impact customers/partners to build influence in addressing problems/blockers and facilitate additional views on the matter of interest.
- You will initiate and drive external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and serve as an industry-leading expert and advisor to external stakeholders.
- You will be a mentor to less experienced colleagues by educating them on technical and non-technical concepts and sharing best practices and of the broader organization and provide thought leadership by sharing deep insight and driving critical decisions that impact Microsoft and the industry
Key Skills:
- Proficiency in Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks.
- Expertise in Azure Machine Learning and Azure Cognitive Services.
- Experience with Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Search.
- Knowledge of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning techniques.
- Familiarity with Knowledge Mining and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
- Strong understanding of Data Fabric and Data Governance principles.
- Proficiency in Power BI for business analytics and visualisation.
- Azure Infrastructure and Security:
- Proficiency in setting up and managing Azure infrastructure components, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and virtual networks.
- Strong understanding of Azure security practices and principles, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
- Experience with implementing security measures specific to AI applications, such as securing data at rest and in transit, and managing access to AI models and APIs.
- Knowledge of Azure Active Directory integration for user authentication and authorisation within AI applications.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools in Azure to detect and respond to security incidents.
- Data, AI, and Machine Learning:
- Expertise in data management, including data ingestion, storage, transformation, and retrieval using Azure data services like Azure Data Lake Storage and Azure SQL Database.
- Proficiency in designing and building data pipelines using Azure services like Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Strong grasp of AI concepts and the ability to design and implement machine learning solutions using Azure Machine Learning services.
- Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques and their application within Azure OpenAI solutions.
- Experience with training and deploying AI models on Azure, along with managing model versioning and updates.
- Skill in utilising Azure Cognitive Services for tasks such as text analytics, sentiment analysis, and image recognition.
- Familiarity with Azure Bot Services for creating and deploying AI-powered chatbots.
