Microsoft Cloud Operations + Innovation (CO+I) is the team behind the cloud. CO+I is responsible for delivering over 200 Microsoft web portals, Live and Online Services around the world including infrastructure, security and compliance, operations, globalization, and manageability. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. Currently the CO+I Datacenter Construction & Delivery (DCD) team is seeking a Principal Program Manager to lead a team on the Datacenter Build Management (DCBM) Team in the AI region. This person will be working along side a diverse and high performing team that is responsible for the delivery of our datacenter colo fit-out (telecom, electrical, and mechanical support systems) as well as system integration activities for all Microsoft owned and leased datacenter facilities.
The AI Inferencing Sub-regional lead will be responsible for managing the overall regional program delivery, ensuring alignment with both organizational and business priorities and commitments with a focused emphasis on delivering capacity Safely, Ethically, Reliably, and Predictably.

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience working on data center projects.
Other Requirements:
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field AND 15+ years related experience
- OR equivalent experience.
- 15+ years experience working on data center projects.
- 10+ years project management experience.
- 10+ years people management experience.
Construction Project Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.

Project Management
- Oversees the team's deployment of large-scale, campus, and/or regionally-based delivery solutions (e.g., new and/or retrofit data center solutions) while also socializing with regional and global leaders. Sets goals for internal and external project teams under their purview of responsibility, delegates responsibilities measures performance against contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and seeks and delivers feedback to achieve timely results.
- In cooperation with the AI Regional Director and other Regional Construction Leaders this position aligns Global, regional and metro level delivery strategies to local team objectives, business processes, vendor management strategies, and cross-group collaboration efforts.
- Define regional metrics that ensure everyone is working towards the same goals and commitments as well as promotes success criteria, learning, and growth opportunities for all team members.
- Coordinate closely with regional program stakeholders and datacenter operations teams to foster alignment and partnerships for business continuity and overall team success.
Drive Results
- Influence and provides direction and coaching to internal and external partners to facilitate and accomplish complex, critical issues that may significantly impact global construction projects (e.g., establishing and executing upon team goals, following business processes, engaging vendor relationships, and fostering cross-group collaboration efforts with the agreed-upon project strategy and milestones).
- Establish, manage, and measure against all regional commitments and performance targets (Safety, Quality, Schedule, & Cost).
Managing Resources
- Reviews and provides feedback to the team regarding resource procurement, allocation, and inventory. Ensures storage space is provided for equipment/materials.
