Engages with customer technical decision makers and influencers. Leverages customer context, portfolio expertise, and deep technical or industry knowledge to build credibility with customers.

  • Leads technical wins for technologies.
  • Leverages resources with minimal support and proactively engages product and support teams to remediate blockers.
  • Engages in partner sell-with scenarios by acting as a liaison and shares visibility on partner resources and processes.
  • Captures core competitive knowledge across solution areas and delivers back to product and engineering teams to enhance capabilities and develop strategies.
  • Provides strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability to contribute to strategy development.
  • Represents the customer to product teams to shape products and services.
  • Works with account teams to shape strategic win plan and tailor Microsoft messaging.
  • Monitors, analyzes, and identifies opportunities to promote product usage.
  • Applies and customizes existing demonstration assets.
  • Presents, applies, and customizes architecture patterns to partners or customers.
  • Applies and coaches sales team to use sales methodologies to guide customers through digital transformation.
  • Independently builds readiness plan and identifies learning gaps.
  • Conducts group training, one-to-many events, or leverages existing scale enablement programs to educate about Microsoft products.
  • Monitors and responds to tech community posts.

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated technical pre-sales or technical consulting experience OR relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms.

Additional or preferred qualifications
  • German Speaker
  • Certification in relevant (Microsoft or industry) technologies or disciplines (e.g., Data Engineering, Data Science, AI Engineering, Power BI, Azure Architect and Development exams, Cloud Platform Technologies, Information Security, Architecture).
  • Experience with cloud and hybrid, or on premises infrastructures, architecture designs, migrations, industry standards, and/or technology management.

Responsibilities

Build Strategy
  • Works with account teams to shape strategic win plan and tailor Microsoft messaging to audience using knowledge of customer feedback, specific Microsoft solutions, and their context in a competitive landscape.
  • Acts as the voice of the customer (VOC) by driving new feedback, blockers, insights, resource (e.g., OneList) items across territories so they can be added and prioritized; represents the customer to product teams (e.g., Engineering) to shape products and services by providing insights across the territory.
  • Provides strategic, technical, and partner input based on Microsoft capability to contribute to strategy development, leveraging partner and competitor knowledge.
  • Captures core competitive knowledge across solution areas and delivers back to product and engineering teams to enhance team capabilities and develop compete strategies.
  • Monitors and analyzes action plans to promote customer usage of key/prioritized Microsoft solutions/products that support customers business outcomes; identifies opportunities to promote usage.
Scale Customer Engagements
  • Leverages knowledge of resources (e.g., roles, Microsoft Technology Center, demo sites, virtual sites) with limited managerial support and proactively engages product and support teams to remediate blockers by conveying impact.
  • Engages with and reaches out to customer technical decision makers and influencers proactively and independently.
  • Uses knowledge of customer context, cross-solution or portfolio expertise, and deep technical and market/industry knowledge to build credibility with customers individually or at scale. Leads and ensures technical wins for core and adjacent technologies by leading technical discussions with customers and establishing rules of engagement
Scale Through Partners
  • Engages in partner sell-with scenarios by acting as liaison between the partner and team and shares visibility on partner resources and processes.
Solution Design and Proof
  • Applies sales methodologies (e.g., catalyst, challenger sales) and coaches sales team in guiding customers through digital transformation across solution areas and leveraging insights to align new or changing technology to customer business needs.
  • Presents, applies, and customizes architecture patterns to partners or customers and drives cross-workload support for Microsoft Solutions.
  • Applies and customizes existing demonstration assets; demonstrates and oversees demonstrations (e.g., architectural design sessions [ADS], proof of concept [POC] sessions) of solutions based on multiple Microsoft products
Technical Leadership
  • Builds their own readiness plan and proactively identifies learning gaps; grows domain knowledge and practices expertise by communicating with customers, partners, and senior colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.
  • Monitors and responds to internal and external tech community posts, attends community calls, sessions, hackathon, etc., and acts as a mentor for their technology area;
  • Conducts group training or one-to-many events (e.g., workshops, Webinars) or leverages existing scale enablement programs to present and educate customers and colleagues on the capabilities and benefits across Microsoft solutions/products.
