Microsoft’s Cloud business is experiencing explosive growth, and the Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the infrastructure underlying this growth. Our mission is to deliver the world’s computer with an industry-leading supply chain.

Cloud Manufacturing Operations and Fulfillment (CMOF) organization within CSCP manages business operations performance and supplies hardware to the data centers. Well-defined and executed supply chain management ensures reliable on-time performance, optimized cost, prevents urgent and unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base and internally across the infrastructure organization. Our focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

Within the CMOF organization, the GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) Readiness organization plays a key role in the pre-dock readiness for all GPU deployments globally. This team is chartered not only to enable the rapid AI growth, but also develop and transform capabilities to execute and optimize at scale.

We are looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager for our GPU Deployment Readiness Engineering team. A well-defined and executed supply chain ensures reliable performance, optimized cost, manages unplanned investments, and provides accurate and timely information across the supply base. Our focus across the infrastructure organization is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide.

With a technical program management and process improvement mindset, this role is responsible for delivery of GPU Cloud capacity. The role is primarily focused on managing deployment execution and also data driven process and new capability improvements to achieve operational efficiency and optimize service delivery.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Demonstrated technical problem solving and excellent analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail
  • Proven track record of partnering with data center, software engineering and cross functional supply chain teams to drive execution as well as improvements in tooling and automation
  • Excellent analytical skills with data analysis/presentation, SQL and Power BI or equivalent skills and knowledge; ability to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions, including analysis specifications and models.
  • Understanding of process engineering and optimization, including gathering, analyzing, and defining business and functional requirements; creating global metrics, trend charts and other decision-making tools.

Technical Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Manage GPU deployments E2E to ensure delivery to committed customer dates
  • Ensure all execution of purchasing, delivery sequencing, and readiness tasks are completed to plan
  • Create reporting, metrics and analytical insights to identify blockers, opportunities and risks to our core process and customer requirements
  • Prioritization, communication and coordination of all hardware deployment deliverables to key stakeholders
  • Identify, design and support transformation, automation and lean initiatives
