Within Azure Data, the messaging and real-time analytics team provides comprehensive solutions and a robust platform that enables users to ingest high granularity signals (real-time & obeservability) and complex data, converting those into a competitive advantage in real-time for both end users and modern applications.

The Azure Event Grid is a rapidly growing product and enables reliable message delivery at massive scale. Our product is a fully managed pub-sub message broker that is used by customers for real-time notification and alerting, optimizing operations through automation, and developing rich integrated solutions in Microsoft Fabric and Azure. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join us and lead new features roadmap and development to enable real-time event-driven solutions in Fabric Real Time Intelligence. Responsibilities

• Build product strategy and priorities for Azure Event Grid
• Work closely with external and internal customers to understand their requirements and translate them into high quality specs
• Inspire and drive engineering and operational excellence across the organization
• Work in a cross functional and collaborative role spanning several teams such as product, UX design, engineering, marketing, sales, and support.
• Partner with the marketing and business teams to identify target customers, value propositions, customer promises, and go-to-market strategies

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
• OR equivalent experience.
  
  

Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

• This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  
  

Preferred/Additional Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree AND 7+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
• OR equivalent experience.
• Background in building features for data engineer and developer-oriented data platform or cloud service.
• Experience in designing user experiences
• Experience in defining product roadmap, strategy and go-to market plans for an enterprise grade product
• Technical aptitude with an understanding of developer-facing tools and services
• Ability to define customer-focused scenarios, author functional specifications and work with partner teams to ensure that scenarios are delivered end-to-end
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and across disciplines as a contributor
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication
• Experience creating quality customer-facing product documentation, tutorials, and usage examples
• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science or similar IT/engineering discipline, MBA
  
  

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across Canada is CAD $108,100 - CAD $199,700 per year.
