Our Corporate, External, and Legal Affairs (CELA) team plays a critical role in ensuring GitHub’s operations run smoothly, ethically, and in compliance with global standards.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Digital Transformation Program Manager to join our CELA team. In this role, you will scope and execute technical projects that scale CELA’s work streams, with a focus on driving efficiency, reducing redundancy and unlocking bandwidth for our team. You will work closely with CELA colleagues, external vendors, and other functional teams to scope, plan and execute solutions that enhance and scale CELA’s support of GitHub.

Digital Transformation Project Management: Scope, plan, and execute technology solutions that enhance and scale CELA’s support of GitHub. Identify, prioritize, and lead automation projects aimed at reducing overhead and eliminating redundant tasks within the department. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the quality standards required to support the broader goals of the CELA department and GitHub.

Stakeholder Engagement: Act as liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, alignment on goals, and transparency throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate ongoing collaboration and maintain strong relationships across functional stakeholders throughout a given project.

Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and refine processes that improve the execution of a given project and focus on quality, limiting costs and planning for the future. Implement best practices and contribute to the development of scalable frameworks that can be leveraged across the organization.

Data Science Collaboration: Partner with CELA’s team responsible for data science to drive data focused projects that scale the adoption of GitHub. Utilize data-driven insights to inform leadership decision-making and educate partners and stakeholders.

Reporting and Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, timelines, status reports, and post-project evaluations. Provide regular updates to leadership and key stakeholders throughout a project’s lifecycle.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years Experience in technical program management, engineering project management, or a similar role, preferably within a technology or software development environment.
  • 3+ years Demonstrated ability in identifying and implementing digital transformation and automation solutions that drive efficiency, limit overhead and reduce redundancy.
  • 2+ year Experience with data science projects and a strong understanding of data-driven decision-making.
  • 1+ years Experience working in legal, compliance, or corporate affairs environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with GitHub’s platform, tools, and services and OSS.
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to think strategically and execute tactically in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to secure strong relationships, motivate others and quickly build trust and confidence.

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $79,500.00 - USD $210,700.00 /Yr.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
