As the Principal Product Manager in this role, you will lead a team of Product Managers focused on the Microsoft Threat Protection (MTP) products to accelerate customer deployment, simplify customer journeys, and influence product direction and strategy to streamline product adoption activities and close product gaps based on customer feedback. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping product deployment simplification and adoption strategy. You will collaborate with product engineering, product marketing, and cross-organizational stakeholders to enable M365 FastTrack to deploy the MTP product suite at scale. As a people manager, you will achieve success through empowerment and accountability by creating clarity and modeling, coaching, and caring.

This role is in the Microsoft Security Customer Experience Engineering Scale Enablement team. We innovate and create new solutions to solve our most challenging problems. Responsibilities

  • Team Culture: You will actively contribute to building and supporting a positive, collaborative, supportive team cultural that’s built on respect, integrity, honesty, and empathy.
  • Scale Deployment: You will enable our M365 FastTrack team to successfully deploy our MTP products to thousands of Microsoft customers.
  • Strategic Vision: You will define the MTP product scale deployment activities based on a deep understanding of customer needs, product strategy, the competitive landscape, and by leveraging data to inform investment decisions.
  • Influence and Execution: You will successfully execute your strategic vision by building coalition, alignment, and influencing disparate teams without direct authority.
  • Product Improvement: You will leverage customer listening systems to influence development teams to simplify product deployment tasks and close product gaps.
  • Program and Process Management: You will demonstrate excellence in program and process management while coaching your team to continuously excel in these areas.
  • Leadership: You will embody Microsoft's manager competencies: Model, Coach, and Care. You will lead with empathy and a passion that inspires those around you.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years people management experience.
Other Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft background and Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 10+ years experience in product/service/project/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years people management experience.
  • 2+ years experience working with security products.
Product Management M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.
