The Sr. Director, Technical Program Management is focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and is a catalyst for innovation, experimentation, and the creation of a visionary future for customer support within the CSS organization. Entrusted with one of the most groundbreaking initiatives in our company’s history, this individual will champion the needs of both our internal and external users, ensuring our AI engineering efforts are strategically aligned with business goals.

In a high-stakes, rapidly evolving environment, the Sr. Director, Technical Program Management will act as the essential conduit, ensuring our organization not only meets but exceeds its strategic objectives. The candidate should exhibit technical expertise in AI and related fields, adeptly managing complex AI-driven projects and leveraging AI insights to drive superior business outcomes.Comprehensive knowledge of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and associated tools is crucial for this position. Proven experience in managing AI projects, from development to deployment of AI models and solutions, is a must.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be at the forefront of innovation, experimentation, and crafting a visionary future for customer support. You will directly engage with businesses to navigate programs from inception to delivery. Your daily responsibilities will encompass managing the delivery of project tasks, activities, milestones, and resources, all while fostering a culture of experimentation and forward-thinking. You will showcase exceptional collaboration skills across teams, groups, and organizations. The ability to anticipate and analyze project risks, develop comprehensive risk management plans, and mitigate subsequent issues is crucial.

You will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and managing project requirements, plans, timelines, issues, risks, and challenges. Your role will involve supporting business owners in driving significant programs or multiple projects, and collaborating closely with program/process owners to identify and implement transformative business changes. You will drive the consensus needed to adopt a forward-looking and manageable change strategy.

You will manage large-scale programs and intricate projects involving multiple stakeholders with diverse agendas and business priorities will be a key aspect of your role. You will lead large, cross-functional project teams towards ambitious and timely outcomes, ensuring the integration of innovative practices.

While not directly involved in feature implementation, take full accountability for the organization''s success. Ensure that all initiatives, projects, and tasks align with the broader organizational goals and contribute positively to the company''s growth and reputation.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years experience leading cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 2+ years of experience integrating AI /Machine Learning capabilities into business operations.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 12+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to envision the "big picture" and translate user feedback and business needs into actionable, forward-thinking roadmaps and strategies. Experience in setting, monitoring, and adjusting strategic directions based on an evolving business landscape.
  • Accountability: A mindset that embraces responsibility for the broader organizational success, ensuring that every decision and action taken aligns with the company''s visionary goals.
  • Technical Acumen: In this hands-on technical role, a deep understanding of technology, especially in the realm of AI solutions, is highly beneficial. This understanding aids in effective communication and collaboration with engineering teams, driving innovation and experimentation.
  • Solid analytical capabilities, with an aptitude for understanding complex concepts and situations that others might overlook.
  • Excellent communication skills, especially at the executive level, are essential. Experience working wizh external vendors, robust project management expertise, leadership acumen, and a proven track record in managing large-scale programs
Technical Program Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
