We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Content Operations Specialist to assist our content team with content production, operational staging, and analytics. The ideal candidate will be someone with a passion for content management, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role isn’t about just sharing a message, but actively connecting developers and IT leaders with everything that’s happening in technology, software development, and within GitHub. Knowledge of the software development industry is strongly preferred.

The team’s work is highly visible, so candidates should be comfortable working with cross-functional stakeholders, executives, and senior leadership. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, high levels of compassion for colleagues and the developer community, and eagle-eyed editing skills are required—as is the ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

  • Content development: Editing developer- and B2B-focused content for an audience of 100M+ developers and more than 90% of the Fortune 100. Writing experience is a plus.
  • Content optimization: Work with the SEO and content strategy teams to ensure all posts are optimized for search engines (SEO) and follow best practices for readability and performance.
  • Workflow coordination: Assist in managing the content production workflow, including scheduling content, ensuring timely reviews, and working with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
  • Content analytics: Track and analyze key content metrics, including traffic, engagement, and conversion rates. Create regular reports to help the team measure performance and refine content strategy.
  • CMS management: Act as the point person for CMS management, resolving technical issues, and improving operational processes to optimize content delivery.
  • Stakeholder collaboration: Drives collaborative efforts with relevant cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., marketing, product, and engineering) to understand and align content with project goals.

Bonus: UX/UI site architecture knowledge and experience; knowledge of the software development industry and experience with the developer community & IT decision makers is a plus.
