GitHub’s CS Practices team is looking for an experienced AI or secure development specialist who wants to work in partnership with senior leaders across the GitHub, focused on accelerating and growing adoption success with GitHub Copilot or GitHub Advanced Security. CS Practice Leads are a key part of our Revenue organization, recognized as subject matter experts in their product area, as well as by their ability to synthesize customer experience to build and execute product adoption strategies. They support a variety of diverse internal teams, including sales professionals, product management, engineering, GRC and marketing in efforts that ensure that GitHub, and our customers, are successful and productive, together.

The ideal candidate will have experience in helping Enterprises understand and succeed with Devops & Application development, engineering efficiency, and Enterprise architecture. They have strong communications skills, and the ability to articulate value and vision to developers and executives alike.

Responsibilities

  • Lead GitHub’s technical Enterprise products customer adoption strategy for Copilot or Advanced Security across the global Customer Success organization
  • Work closely with Revenue and MSFT GTM teams on special and high impact projects
  • Aggregate and prioritize identified needs based on potential business impact, appropriateness, and ability to deliver
  • Work closely with our marketing, product, engineering, and partner teams to define enterprise adoption strategies for products in development.
  • Develop custom solutions to solve customer adoption challenges and blockers
  • Partner with and effectively communicate adoption strategies to sales, legal, technical and executive staff.
  • Coordinate activities with all teams across CS, Revenue, Product, MSFT and Partners
  • Meet with enterprise customers to understand their business and technical needs, and share GitHub’s enterprise vision and strategy. Advise leaders in product and engineering of current and future enterprise customer needs, concerns, and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Qualifications

The GitHub CS Practices organization is looking for an experienced DevOps and Enterprise Architecture specialist who has an expertise and passion to exceed our customers’ expectations and who will go the extra mile with a strong work ethic and collaboration. They also have:

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ year(s) experience in Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, Consulting, Enablement, Change Management, or related field
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience
    • OR Master’s Degree AND 6+ years experience
    • OR Doctorate AND 4+ years experience
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of DevOps and Application Engineering experience with deep knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle and related tools.
  • Experience strategically aligning customer success initiatives with company goals, driving revenue growth and enhancing customer value through deep understanding of adoption at scale.
  • Demonstrable knowledge in building strategies for long term durable usage of products
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, demonstrated with experience in technical sales, architecture/solutions engineering, technical consulting, system integration or project management

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience or knowledge of GitHub
  • Experience helping organizations adopt developer tooling at scale
  • Participation or leadership in industry groups, trade associations
  • Experience working with consumption based products

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $87,500.00 - USD $232,120.00 /Yr.

In addition, this role also has the opportunity to earn sales incentives. On target earnings (OTE) is based on a 80/20 base salary/sales incentive.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual's base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
