Microsoft’s MS Digital team has a unique leadership opportunity in our Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure Venture Integration team. We are seeking a seasoned technical principal program manager to manage the Microsoft, Enterprise Systems & Infrastructure Venture Integration (MEVI) team. The MEVI team focuses on integrating newly acquired companies into Microsoft’s Core IT technologies and services seamlessly. We coordinate across various Microsoft groups and acquired company leadership to ensure smooth transitions, leveraging diverse perspectives and institutional knowledge to drive success.

We are hiring a Principal Group PM (Product Manager) Manager leader to work with highly motivated and talented professionals to lead and execute the work needed to ensure acquired companies are successfully integrated into Microsoft. Responsibilities

As the Principal Program Management leader, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain and lead a world-class technical program management team across a portfolio of acquisitions/ divestitures at any given time.
  • Vision: Understand our customers and various stakeholders to build a vision on creating insights/ integration strategies and solutions/ services to and deliver quantifiable impact.
  • Technical Strategy & Plans – Lead efforts to define technical strategies, integration roadmaps and plans and more importantly, deliver tactically against that same strategy. Ability to be highly agile, experiment, yet still accomplish long-term vision and short-term goals.
  • Technology Roadmap - Ability to interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups spanning all organizational levels to future technical roadmaps. Influencing and leading a high-functioning PM and development teams responsible for critical-path services and tools.
  • Customer Focus and partnership: Communicate effectively and build relationships with our partner teams to understand their scenarios and priorities and translate them to requirements for integration strategies and services. Partner effectively with functional leader counterparts in engineering, PM & Design and outside of our team (Acquiring Product Engineering, Digital, Commerce, HR, Finance, Go To Market, Real Estate, Security, etc) to ensure ongoing alignment, engineering dependencies, and influence the building of solutions within other groups.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 5+ years people management experience.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in Mergers & Acquisitions IT.
  • 8+ years of experience supporting the delivery of high scale enterprise solutions in networking, identity services, collaborative services (email, document sharing, remote meeting and chat), CRM, ERP, Commerce and professional services systems.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Thought leader with a proven track record of bringing structure to ambiguous business problems and use data, logic, and practical experience to decompose them into straightforward, scalable solutions.
  • Problem-solver: Problem-solving ranging from conceptualization to implementation. Ability to communicate ideas effectively with executives and engineering teams. Must be able to plan work, and work to a plan adapting as necessary in a rapidly evolving environment. Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical prowess and project management: Ability to learn and grasp concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment. Experience in IT back-office technology, services and tools, and deep learning in industry. Record of delivery in industry.

Product Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
