We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Director of Data Analytics_Marketing to join our team. Microsoft’s Global Media and Partnerships team is a diverse, collaborative, solutions-oriented team committed to planning, activating and fiscally managing all paid media/advertising, strategic partnerships and agency relationships across Microsoft. The team works across business groups to tie objectives, insights and innovation together to drive business impact through world-class media strategies, plans and results. The ideal candidate for this role will have a background in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis, along with significant experience in people management.
This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

- Partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment of analytics goals with overarching business objectives.
- Build scalable systems and toolsets that democratize and advance the collective understanding of the efficacy of media and partnership investments, increasing speed and quality of decision making across Marketing at Microsoft
- Lead by example in supporting teams to develop and maintain experience in and influence over data privacy requirements, responsible and ethical data handling practices, and data classification and governance rules and regulations.
- Leverage advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to enhance media analytics capabilities.
- Exemplify and enforce standards related to bias, privacy, and ethics, holding teams across the organization accountable for ensuring required work processes (e.g., privacy and Corporate, Executive, and Legal Affairs [CELA] reviews) and results align with current or updated data privacy, legal, and governance requirements.
- Serve as a role model for establishing and leveraging strategic working relationships within and across teams to ensure alignment and quality execution of data sourcing, shared understanding of business priorities, and optimal use of analytical tools, models, processes, and insights, and drive their adoption across relevant organizations.
- Educate marketing leadership on different analytical approaches defining, recommending and implementing those approaches to consistently and continuously evaluate our investments across the portfolio.
- Engage internal and external stakeholders to define and advance capabilities for media and partner analytics, including third-party measurement partners
- Foster a climate where assumptions, tools, and/or techniques are consistently and critically evaluated, and direct teams to identify and address gaps to drive improvements in analyses and insights generation.
- Establish and implement a customer- and/or stakeholder-oriented focus within their team(s) and organization.
- Ensure teams can recognize, leverage, and advise customer and/or stakeholder requirements when initiating, communicating, and implementing new analytical methods or approaches.
- Interpret results, develop insights, and communicate results to customers and/or stakeholders within relevant contexts.
- Coach and influence customers and/or stakeholders across organizations to help them establish ideal data practices.

Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 10+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 8+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 3+ years people management experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 12+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 10+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
- OR equivalent experience.
- 5+ years people management experience.
- Experience leveraging advanced statistical methods, machine learning, and predictive modeling to enhance media analytics capabilities.
- Experience developing and building new world-class data analytics systems to showcase the impact of investments in paid media and strategic partnerships have on business goals and objectives.
