We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Solution Architect, Dynamics Customer Experience, who has a mix of hands-on experience in selling business value solutions, business applications implementation, architectural design and strategic business acumen. Solution Architects have a passion for our customers and partners which is demonstrated through professionalism and striving for excellence in all aspects of the customer experience to become a valuable part of our world-wide Field and Partner Center Of Excellence team in Industry Solutions Delivery. This position empowers customers and partners on their digital journey, from envisioning new possibilities to delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and a great customer experience.

You will have responsibility for delivering high quality architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the Microsoft Business Applications and AI platforms. Demonstrating deep knowledge of Microsoft Solutions and offerings across the entire life cycle, together with a critical focus on opportunity management, leadership and technical governance, this is your chance to drive transformational results and enable the realization of business strategy for Microsoft partners and customers.

This team works closely with the Microsoft product engineering and marketing teams for Modern Work, Business Applications, and Security to develop assets that help Microsoft develop partner capacity and scale towards accelerating usage of Microsoft Solutions.

Responsibilities

Partner Program Support

  • Center of Excellence (COE) Technical Pre-Sales and readiness - Work directly with partners to help drive technical pre-sales motions with Microsoft Business Applications / Power Platform Workshop Materials
  • Understanding Customer/Partner Technical Environment
  • Architecture Design and Deployment - Technical Solution Development: Developing technical solutions and ability to design, customize, or reapply technical solutions based on customer/partner needs or demands.

Intellectual Property and Practice Development

  • Generate new and/or improvements to existing intellectual property. Identifies which ideas should be culled and curate content to align with messaging and intent from the partner marketing team.
  • Creates new intellectual property based on requirements from our stakeholders.
  • Drives the re-use of intellectual property and recommends practices in both pre-sales and delivery.
  • Participates and contributes to internal/external communities.

Trusted Advisor

  • Develop a network of internal/external relationships to build influence in addressing problems/ blockers and facilitating additional views on the matter of interest. Stays up to date on Microsoft’s technologies, products, and services in order to communicate Microsoft's mission, strategy, and capabilities.
  • Understand competitor solutions and identifies how customer business value can be driven through Microsoft's offerings. Steers the customer/partner conversations to the benefits of the solution rather than the features and functionalities.

Thought Leadership

  • Share ideas, insight, and strategic, technical input with technical teams, internal communities across the field, and the larger virtual team across Microsoft using a thorough knowledge of specific Microsoft products and their context in the broader landscape.
  • Participate in external architect community events (e.g., conferences, seminars, technical meetups, Webcasts, blogs, hackathons) and shares learnings with internal team. Acts a mentor to colleagues to educate them on technical and non-technical concepts.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 4+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security
    • OR equivalent experience.
Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
    • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in technology solutions, practice development, architecture, consulting, and/or technology domain (e.g., Security)
    • OR equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of Enterprise work experience
  • 5+ years of Architecture Experience
  • 4+ years of Microsoft Dynamics 365 & Power Platform Experience
  • Experience with Application development services across public cloud (e.g. SAP (Systems, Applications & Products), Salesforce, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Oracle) is a plus.
  • The Solution Architect should have the following preferred core competencies:
    • Solid functional and technical understanding of D365 line of business applications including D365 Service, Sales and Customer Insights.
    • Experience implementing end-to-end D365 CE (Customer Engagement) projects involving integrations, reporting, migrations and/or Power Platform components.
    • Regular involvement in presenting complex technical topics to both an executive and a technical audience
    • Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of Cloud and/or hybrid messaging/collaboration/unified environments.
Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,200 - $199,400 per year.
